Detail Picture Theft

This pic is on 3 different detailers websites, including Envy Mobile Detailing. I wonder where the original is?

I guess he was kind enough to share this pic too. It's also on 3 other sites.
 
I posted on his FB page and waiting for a response.Maybe if the rest of the forum members hammered his FB he would not get away with this BS.
 
It didn't take long and my comment was removed from FB as was his youtube video. Hopefully he has wised up.



PS. As of 1:30 pm he is still showing one of Todds pictures on his company website.
 
So I heard back from Envy....It does appear that his website has been updated to remove any of the stolen pictures. Which IMO means he knows which pics were stolen.

I am the new owner as of Feb 1, 2012 and yes there is alot i didnt know about this company until after the purchase. if you just let me know i will be glad to make things right. as of right now we have gone through invoices and the two videos up are ones that have been done. please just message us for anything else. we are working hard to turn this company around"

All the BS I got was...

"Your info has been sent over to the owner as well as what has happened. Thank you for informing us of this. You should be receiving a call tomorrow."



Never heard from them...

I am the manager there and we just recently acquired the business and have spoken to Mr Greg of Signature Detail and he was kind to inform us of some pics of other detailer being used. We sincerely apologize to Signature Detailing, Esoteric Detailing, Dj Mayo Studios, and autogeek. This is unacceptable and we took action right away to correct this mishap. Please let us know who was banned so we can unban them. All work on the website, facebook, and youtube is of Envy Mobile Detailing. Again we apologize to all detailers and have nothing but respect for all the hard working detailers out there. Take pride in your work and protect it. You all have a skill that's rare and should be proud of all your work!
 
It sucks. Welcome to the Internet. Piracy (software, music, pictures) is just very common. Watermarking pics is one of your only options. The problem is some are against it only when it affects them.

Welcome to Autopia! Sorry you had to visit us on such a harsh instance. Glad you came forward to publically apologize for this misdoing as it is 100% unprofessional what went down. Whoever had the idea to go ahead with this really needs a serious talking to. Regardless, we hope you'll continue to keep posting so that we can start to puts good things together with your name moving forward.

We are trying to get to who did this. I appreciate Greg letting us know what has happened. If it wasnt for him we wouldnt have known what was going on. The Business is under new management as of 02/01/2012. We have been sorting through all sorts of problems and hope to come back with good stature.
 
Phil, I appreciate the apology. It does show you are really trying.



Stay on this site and learn from the other pros around here. They are all amazing and truly helpful.
 
I usually just laugh at the idiots that do this kind of thing but this example was pretty lame. The extent of other people's pictures being passed off as their work is ridiculous
 
Will do. Thanks for all the advice already. Hope we can be in good standings with everyone. Trying to figure all this forum stuff out and start posting our work and learning from you all as products keep getting better every year.
 
I had a guy in france use my whole F430 spread as his own...needless to say, Todd found it and informed me. He ripped off a bunch of other stuff from other detailers as well...



and then there is a guy in Canada right now using my info from my services page word for word...Thanks JPostal for catching that one!
