Detail Picture Theft

Greg Gellas

I'm Greg :)
How do you all go about dealing with theft of pictures. Specifically when another company is claiming that they did the work?

They made this video claimig that it was their work....

Here is my write up on it.

Here is the Jalopnik review.

This mold-covered Audi is why you don't ignore water damage

What would everyone do about this?

I'd e-mail the jalopnik article author: [email protected]

Looks like he linked your thread on another forum atleast. But still.

The Jalopnik article is fine. He just used a different forum to link the full write up to, not Autopia. I wonder if I email him he will write about this theft? That would really hurt Envy Mobile Detailing.

This stuff just pisses me off.

you should also post on every site yellow pages, thumbtack, cityguide, google review...to alert the public and any potential customer of his theft...When customers look up his reviews... they will see what type of business they are detailing with...

This Envy Mobile Detailing clown pulled the video, and all the pics from youtube and facebook. Has anyone passed this along to Todd C yet?

Youd be surprised how many companies are reusing images. Use the reverse image finder on google images and you will see just how many places have reused some of those images......

He also claims to be a member of Professional Detailing Association... That association has not been existence for about 6/7 years... This guy is something else.. Since he is obviously reading the posts... or else the videos would not have been pulled... he needs to know he has been put on notice by the entire autodetailing community.. people should monitor his site for stolen pictures..same with you tube...

Perhaps we should start a shame on you wall!

Todd Knows. :)

Even though he pulled them down I made sure to copy and re-host his theft for future "reference". I am waiting to hear back from him. I want all pictures and videos that aren't his taken down....I would guess that means ALL of them.
