Dallas area meet?

Sunday is best day for me, but ANY day is a good day for detailing fun.
 
Count me in! I'm out of town the first weekend in October, but I could attend any other time - heck, I can even offer my driveway if necessary; I have room for about 6 cars.

What area of town are you in?



Still supposed to be well into the 90s through the middle of next week, probably best to wait for it to cool down a bit.
 
Scott, if everyone is still interested in a gtg, the weather should start cooling off anytime, I mean it IS OCTOBER for crying out loud. Who knows, 2 or 3 more months and maybe we can take a break from mowing the lawn :drool:

I would like to meet some of the guys around here that do the detailing.
 
I am busy for the next 3 weekends-my sister is getting married this weekend, I have a friend's car to do in Waco the following Sunday and the weekend after that, I am going to southern Illinios to see my son play some college football.



It doesn't have to be a 'detailing' meet, maybe we can all just get together one night for dinner. I can do something Friday or Saturday night the first weekend in November, otherwise it would have to wait until the 3rd weekend.
 
Anytime after the 13th of November is fine with me. It doesn't have to be a 'detailing' meet, maybe just a get together over dinner at Hooters....

Sounds good to me. Arlington or somewhere in the mid cities would probably be best since that would be between Dallas and Fort Worth.



Any other suggestions? Maybe a Sunday afternoon meet followed by dinner? Anyone have a large enough area for several people along with parking if we decide to do some detailing?
 
We really suck at getting something going.



How does Saturday, December 10th sound for a general get together? Maybe meet for dinner somewhere, get to know each other and see what we can set up as a dedicated detailing meet in the spring? I may be able to get my Meguiars distributor involved.

Doesn't seem like there are that many Autopians in our area though Scott, hopefully we could get at least 5 of us.
 
I don't think it is a problem of the number of Autopians in our area, it is how spread out we are. From the west side of Fort Worth to Rockwall on the east and Mansfield to the south and Frisco to the north, someone will be complaining about the drive. It is just tough with how large the Metromess is.



I may be able to get Larry Klein, the local Optimum distributor (he also carries Clearkote and 303 products) to come. He owns a company that specializes in vinyl/leather and general interior repair. Probably a good contact to have all the way around.
 
That would be good, I don't mind driving, as long as it's not over an hour away. I'm in Mesquite, but if people have problems with the drive they can carpool with other members or something.
 
please keep me informed as to time and place. a real address so I can use the Yahoo map program to find where ever the dinner will be. Not sure of my wife but the little detailer and I will be there to say hello.



Since I am driving from harker heights it would be nice if the dinner was at five.. but will be there no matter what time.
