I have a 1999 Mustang Cobra with 60,000 miles. I have been using the Megs 3 step system with outstanding results. Well, outstanding results for a regular person - not you guys or me.
Ok, the vertical panels (fenders, doors, etc) look great, but the trunk and hood have severe clear coat pitting. I suspect this car has been the victim of acid rain. Tonight, I used Turtle Wax rubbing and polishing compounds (liquid) with my PC on the hood and I can still see obvious pitting and spiderwebs under halogen light. What do you recommend? Should I buy something with a heavier cut, or turn it over to an expert with a rotary?
I take good care of this car and it has only seen 8,000 miles in the last 3 years. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
