Come on in and watch the transformation of my "new" car!

Paul,

Install some of those reverse indiglo gauge on your car :xyxthumbs

Install a short shifter in it too.

Mitchubishievo - My only regret is not buying it sooner. :)

I get reimbursed for mileage driven for my job (all 190 miles were work miles), so I could have made a TON more profit from that if I weren't filling up the Maxima with premium each time.

Klnyc - I'm thinking about new gauges. I haven't made up my mind yet. As far as a short shifter, I don't think that'll happen. This is my new baby, I don't drive it hard, so the stock shifter (which isn't all that tall) is just fine. I WILL get new wheels/tires for sure though. But those are going to have to wait until spring.

Now that I've got the new wheels and tires, I thought I'd throw a few new pics in this thread. The car has AIO WG Paste Glaz at this point, and the wheels have AIO + WGx2.

I hoped that this one would turn out better than this. :( It was sunset right after a nasty severe thunderstorm rolled through.

Looks awesome. I like the new rims a lot. That last picture is really excellent. So good in fact that I ran that last image through a noise reduction filter just to see what it could do. I'm not sure if I like it or the orignal better. Hope you don't mind, if you do I'll remove it.

Man, you've got that thing looking good. That last pic is nice. I can't tell the difference between the original and the "noise reduction filter" version though.

I can't see a difference between the two pics either. I like them both :)

Even though that last shot didn't turn out how I wanted it to, it still looks pretty neat. I'm going to be on the lookout for nice sunsets from now on. That road where the pic was taken is about 1/4 mile from my apartment, looking straight west. It's perfect for sunset pics.

You guys really don't see the difference? Hm, must be because I'm a photographer at heart. :)

Oh well, either way you did a fantastic job on that car, and keep the sunset pics comin'.

There's a full moon tonight, and I'm going to try to get a few pics of the car with the moon just above the car. I have to find out when moonrise is tonight.

The second picture looks a little "brighter" ?? :nixweiss But I agree, they both look really sharp!

The Protege is really looking awesome, Paul. I'm looking forward seeing it glowing in the lunar light!!

Since my V shows so poorly in daytime pics, I'd be really interested in learning how to take some night shots with my Sony DSC-P7.

I love 1Z Gummipflege! It's so easy to use, and doesn't cost much, considering one bottle will last you a lifetime. I apologize for the out-of-focus pics, but you can see the difference Gummipflege makes on weatherstripping. All I did was wipe it down with a wet WalMart MF towel, let it dry, and applied the Gummipflege. It makes the rubber so soft and black...

Would a treatment of this Gummipflege, or something similiar (suggestions?) take care of wax-stained stripping?

Hmm... The bottle says it "cleans and protects all rubber seals". I haven't tried it for that purpose yet.

I can tell you this though. If you buy a bottle and it doesn't remove the staining, you'll still be happy with your purchase after you use it. If it doesn't remove the stain, use something else to remove it, and then use Gummipflege to protect the seals.

Here ya go...

First one with flash on, second with flash off.

Current combo on the car is shown in my sig.

I know I can do better. The sunset last night was not anything spectacular by any means, so obviously that cut down on the quality of the shot. It just got done raining here, and the clouds are starting to move out, so I've got to go wash/QD the Protege and maybe get some more sunset shots if the colors are nice. :)
