I checked with Collinite directly and got the following info from Mike in Collinite Customer Service:
"With the winter coming up I would recommend using our #476s Super Doublecoat Paste Wax. The #476s provides the best protection and durability.
The #845 is basically the liquid version of the #476s and is easier to apply and remove. You probably get 1-2 months more protection using the #476s.
Both products do contain petroleum distillates and they are pure waxes, not
cleaner/waxes. You can layer the coats of waxes, we usually recommend
waiting at least one hour in between applications.
I usually tell people to apply one coat in the spring, one in the summer and one in the fall, that should take care of things."

When I inquired about petroleum distillates and how difficult it was to take #476s off (I read it's tough if you follow instructions) he replied:
"If you apply the product in small sections at a time and begin to remove it
when you see it start to dry or come to a haze you shouldn't have a problem.
Cut the hood, roof or trunk in 4 squares, do one door at a time, etc. etc.
Both the #845 and #476s do contain solvent so it might do some light
cleaning if any.
Applying in layers will not effect the original layer applied. To completely remove the wax from the finish you would have to apply a prep-solv."

So I checked around and this is the best price I found for #845 & #476s at
www.thebestwax.com $12.95 + shipping and it's in-stock.
David Richardson at TheBestWax.com told me this:
"Both 845 and 476 are NOT cleaner waxes. They are purely a top coat. They won't remove anything. Heck, I have even washed my car and missed a spot drying and figured the wax would clean the small water spot and it didn't, so I feel safe to say it won't hurt your Klasse Twins finish. I would guess that you are at more risk that the applicator will remove something than the Collinite wax. The only cleaner wax Collinite sells is #870 and I DON'T sell it on my site. It doesn't have the famed durability of 845 or 476 in my opinion.
Really the decision you need to make between 845 and 476 is effort.
845 is probably easier to work with since it is a liquid, but the trade off is that it doesn't last quite as long as 476 (which is a paste). But with 476 you have to work with it in sections. Apply to a fender then remove, half the hood, then remove, etc.
845 can be applied all over then removed where as 476 gets harder to remove the longer it stays on. I alternate between the 2 for personal use depending on my mood. Dont' get me wrong 476 is easy to work with too as long as you use it in sections. Plus 476 being a paste usually can coat many more vehicles compared to about 8-10 with the 845 liquid.
Sorry about the slow load up on the website. It has some flash on it that is probably not suited for dial-up."

I've read that this product has incredible durability and is detergent proof, perhaps doesn't look at good as Natty's, Souveran, s100, or p21s but, for those of us that have to face 4 seasons, it's all about durability for the next 4 to 5 months.
My order is in.
