Hey guys, I've decided to finally try claying my car (when the winter weather is over anyway
). I've tried reading some current threads on clay, but I'm still more or less confused on what clay would be best for my situation. My current daily driver is some serious need of paint correction so whenever I clay it, I'll probably be trying my hand at polishing also. My thought was that I could probably use a somewhat aggressive clay as marring wouldn't be an issue since I'd be polishing afterwards anyway. Is that a good assumption? If so, what clay would you recommend? Also, could you recommend a milder clay for more general use? I'm open to any comments/suggestions. Thanks for all the help guys.
P.S. As a side question, is it ok to use a wash soap/water combo for clay lube? I thought I saw somewhere that it might degrade the clay, but I wasn't sure if that was true.
