Doesn't ONR recommend using a MF towel for the cleaning as well as the final wipe?mg031 said:The next thing i would like to try them out on is with ONR / QEW type washes as i do not like using sheepskin mitts for this as they just get too dirty for me.

My first thought is that the MF Chenille mitt would hold too much ONR solution.
Maybe a deep pile MF wash mitt would work better.![]()
Hey, try it and let everyone know.

Great! Then we will have first hand information rather than my guess.mg031 said:Hmm, i thought holding more solution was key with ONR ? I know thats why it worked well with wool mitts. But then again it worked good with a thick pile microfiber towel too. Anyway, I will try it this weekend with the MF Chenille mitt and report back.
Given that Krodad has used the MF chenille sponge with good results, it will be interesting to see if what your impression of the MF chenille mitt will be.mg031 said:Hmm, i thought holding more solution was key with ONR ? This is an old thread from December of 2006, but I don't remember seeing mg031's comments after trying the MF chenille mitt with the ONR.Hmm, i thought holding more solution was key with ONR ? Sorry, i completely forgot about reporting back to this thread especially as i don't really post much...
mg031 said:I still use the Chenille MF mitt as well as a thick pile MF mitt and the usual wool mitt for washing though i really prefer the chenille MF specifically for ONR or rinsless washes.. not just for how well it works vs any other mitt but really because i find that it works much cleaner for me in that i don't end up with water all over the garage floor. I like how it releases dirt in the bucket better IMO. Also, the wool mitt tends to dirty up quite a bit more durning a rinsless wash vs. traditional washing. I like to save the wool for the bucket washes. I toss the MF mitts in the wash with my other MF towels and they clean up without issue.
mg031 said:Not sure if this really makes any sense but for me this is what i prefer.
So how do you like the Sea Sponge? Now another one i would like to try out.
Another old thread, but it has been revisited in the recent past.I keep hearing about these and the grout sponges. Does anyone else have any feedback that they can give for either? The grout sponges are supposed to be ideal for an ONR wash, and cheap too!
