*Cheap* Steam Cleaner

I've used the steamfast model for 2 years now. Never a problem and pretty much use it on all interiors. About 3-5 a week. Found it on clearance at Meijers for $49. Soon I'll upgrade to a more professional model after I do some research just so I can have a backup.

I'd recommend it. Good unit for the money.

Good to hear! I've been hoping someone that actually had the unit would chime in here. I'd be very happy if it lasts two years for that price. No problems with any of the tools breaking?

Nope but I haven't used much of the attachments; the squeegee for windows works well. I usually cover with mf and........I'm happy. Good to go.

I saw a compact steamer listed in a Sunday sales ad yesterday and was thinking this could somehow be used in the interior of cars - then stumbled on this thread. While I won't buy the one I saw listed, I will however be searching through this and other threads.

I just bought a steam cleaner from lowes for 100 dollars and I am impressed with it. Used to clean the house yesterday and it did a really good job on my tile grout and bathroom. I also like the fact that I don't use so many chemicals to clean just distilled water.

hey now I just got that steamer but I paid $132 with shipping. so don't curse me to breaking it. although it feels sturdier than I thought it would.
 
Denzil, how do you do it? Man, you *always* find the best deals! I can't find that steamer anywhere else on ebay for less than 99 bucks. You are *the* bargain hunter!

There's been a few people post here that have had these particular steamers for quite a while. I don't think anyone is using them for anything more than casual use, though. So far, everyone has been pretty happy with them. Maybe a few broken accessories, but no one has said that the unit has actually failed yet.

You bought yours from a reputable retailer that I'm sure will stand behind it if you have any problems. I bought mine from some guy on ebay who I'm sure has no ability to warrant the product. And I'm crossing my fingers that I ever receive what I paid for. If Wally would have carried the one with the clothing attachments, I would have paid extra to have the warranty assurance and backing that comes from buying from Wallys. Yeah, there are alot of negative things about Wally, but I've always had great luck with warranty issues/returns/standing behind their products.
 
I bought the Steam Fast Steam Mouse some 8 years ago and it's still going strong. All the attachments have not yet broken. So if you take care of the unit, clean it after use, and use filtered water, it will last a long time.
