Conditions:
It's nice and sunny here in LA with an occasional breeze coming through. The subject cars are both covered in dust that has been rained on so the dust has turned to dirt. First car is my wife's '95 Legend that is a light green color and it currently wearing SG. It hasn't been washed or wiped down in nearly 2 weeks. Second car is my '98 Integra that is usually covered and kept clean at all times. It has been uncovered for the last couple weeks and subject to the same conditions as the first car. Oh yeah, it's black and was recently polished with the Menzerna polishes(FPII and 85RD) and a coat of FMJ. It has been maintained with S&W and on occasion Menzerna Acrylic Spray.
How I used it:
I put the product into a pump spray bottle and applied it to the surface. The surface was then gently wiped with one of Meguiar's new Supreme MF towels and then turned for the final wipe.
Results:
The Detail Spray removed all of the dirt and left the paint with a rich sparkle that seemed to highlight the metallic on both cars. The first car with its lighter color really seems to show the metallic more so than the darker car. The product provides to lubricate the surface well and allow for a long wipe time if desired and wipes clean even on the rather warm surface (it's mid 70's here today).
My thoughts:
I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. It has definitely added something to the surface and is very easy to use. The dirt transfers to the towel very well without causing and visible marring to the surface on either the lighter paint or the HONDA black paint. I'm truly impressed and will likely try the other synthetic detail spray/clay lube once it is in stock(supposed to be Wednesday).
IMO, this product provides better surface lubrication than S&W and leaves a nicer finish also. They seem to be products with slightly different missions however as this spray says that it contains carnauba and S&W claims to leave nothing behind but a clean surface.
