Carrera 4S

Had the pleasure of detailing this beautiful 911 this afternoon, listened to some jazz and had plenty of water to drink as it was a scorcher:scared

Started with the motor area. I wet the surrounding paint work down with water and then sprayed Hi-Temps Xtreme Clean APC over the engine and let it dwell for a few minutes then used my steam vapor cleaner to blast away the grime.

Here is a picture of the engine BEFORE

Here is a MID picture of the engine after it was cleaned but no dressing applied.

It looks pretty good without it IMHO

Now here it is after being dressed with TOL's Best Dressed and some light metal polishing. I used Hi-Temps Medium Cut to clean the surrounding paint work and then followed that with VM

(Notice I forgot to straighten out the oil cap?:D )

Exterior paint was clayed and then FP applied with my Cyclo.

VM tops this beauty out and PB's B&B on the tires. Wheels have Hi-Temps Poly Spray on them.

the rear bumper seems off color then the rest of the car. My brother's MR2 (aka poor man's ferrari) had the same problem (same color).

mnbv,

In person there is no color difference, must just be the angle of the lighting.

Last exterior pic.

Very nice, but I don't see much of a difference after its dressed:P

If I had left it to dry naturally it would look more "wet" but if you don't buff the gloss down then it tends to attract more grime that much quicker......not to mention it looks to pimpish :D

nice detail...

which is that? the 911 gt2?

C4S

GT2 has side air intakes right before the rear wheels along with a "fixed" rear wing (among other physical characteristics).

Anthony,

Great job. I have couple of questions for you since you seem to detail quite a few Porsches....

One any special prep on the engine cleaning? i.e. cover any specific electronics, etc?

What do you use for leather cleaning and maintaining? I want to keep that very unique interior leather smell that a Porsche has so I don't want an over powering leather condition. Suggestions?
