Excuse me for being contrary but as time goes on and my prep sequence improves, I am finding very little final appearance differences between sealants and carnuabas. There is a tactile difference, a sealant ultra slick and carnuaba more feels silky. With a well-prepped clearcoat and a quality carnuaba the reflectivity is there just like a sealant. The biggest difference used to be for me the depth of basecoat hue between sealants and carnuabas. That difference has been diminished by a better prep.
I too like Bob, love the experience of applying a carnauba but presently do not see that big a difference in appearance to abandon either.
Life was so less complicated when my protectant decision was only between Meg GC, Mother's and Meg #26. Not a knock on these products, but my vehicles presently look so much better now. Not because I am using a boutique sealant or carnuaba, but because of pre-application paint prep.
Basically what I am saying is that I use whichever of the 10+ or so products available dependent on my mood for application. Sometimes you feel like a nut (sealant), sometimes your don't (carnauba) JMHO :wavey
