I fixed a black Z06 that some idiot "detailer" realizes about halfway through he was messing it up bad, so he glazed the whole thing trying to hide it. So at least I only had half the car to correct.

I don't consider myself as good as the guys here like Thomas, Scott, or David, but, even I could have done this car without ruining it. I did a 05, G35, a few weeks back. Wash, clay, dry and then Uno and MF pads via my trusty PC. Car looked great for a six year old car and owner was happy. I charged the guy $135.00, his daughter and my oldest are good friends.

JuneBug - I think it is time to give yourself more credit. You are a very capable detailer. :bow

Thanks Thomas, that was the best Christmas gift I have received in a long time. I am feeling motivated and think i will give the wife's Highlander a good wash, little fresh air would do me good.

Holy Crap! These pictures should be used all over the web to show what a hack can do, hat is terrible and I feel horrible for the OP.

What I don't understand is why these companies don't give the unskilled workers a pc and d151 and a white pad and be done with it? That will work on almost all cars, not give as much cut, but also not have a chance of damage and leave a nice gloss that most customers are looking for. Incredible.

Wasn't one of the members here in contact with the OP? Maybe he can update us.

And I too gasped out loud at this car...I just started detailing a couple months ago and I use a rotary (till my gg comes in tomorrow :D) and I've NEVER come even close to buffer marks that bad... If I have them at all they get fixed immediately.

How can ANYBODY take pride in their work and leave their car like that?

Sorry fellas I didn't update because I haven't done diddly squat about this nightmare. Its been almost a year and I have been busy with many things so the beauty of my car was on the bottom of my list. The detail shop basically refused to do anything. They looked like a run down, broke business so my only option was to sue. I have been putting that process off because it seems overwhelming, even after I win collecting from these guys looked impossible. Anyways, my car still looks the same. I haven't done anything to fix it.

I am going to invest a little bit of my time and go after these guys. Here is the business: Autosmart Mobile Detail - Vista, CA

ulenie- Sorry to hear it didn't get resolved, but I sure understand about having to prioritize.

Take it a little easy with regard to investing serious time/money in the retribution angle. I've had, uhm....issues with folks/businesses over cars a few times, and my attorney always talked me *out* of pursuing it in a serious way.... "Don't waste my time and your money, it won't turn out net-positive".

What you might do is get a sign shop to make some decals that say "See all this damage? That's what happens when you use Autosmart Mobile Detail in Vista, CA"

Drive around with them in your window -- at least serve as a PSA for others, and heck, even send a pic of it to the company and tell them you'll stop advertising if they'll pay up to fix the damage they caused. You never know, it might just get their attention.

After reading thru all those reviews......WOW....How the heck they're still in business is beyond me. Sorry this happened to ya, hopefully you can get this issue resolved!

Did we ever find out who did this? I'm in SD and just contacted a mobile detailer. I'm thinking I may just do a search on the forums instead of a google search.
