I think one myth that I've proven wrong is that all touchless car washes are taboo. Not so if you have a good sealant or better yet, a coating properly applied.
I use one in the winter that cleans the undercarriage and doesn't apply wax. It does a presoak, then power rinses, then applies a spotless wash just before the air dryer completes the process.
I then hit the car with Poorboys wash and wipe because it leaves no protection and thus doesn't interfere with my CarPro CQUK coating. The car looks like I spend hours on it and its spotless.
I don't do rinseless washes in the winter anymore and frankly come spring I have no accidentally induced swirls anymore to get rid of. Yes it costs more but it takes only 10 minutes of my time and I don't get cold or wet.
