pretty cool story here, not many pics...

This truck belongs to "Rampage" Jackson. I was called by a friend of mine on two saturdays ago mid-morning around 1130. "hey can you do a detail today?" I told him no as I had errands to do. (still havent finished a couple of those, lol) he says "well I really need a favor, its for a truck that will be going to SEMA and its Rampage Jackson's truck."

Well, my errands got pushed back and I was at the shop where it was being worked on by 130. I spent from 130-330 working on it getting it prepped for polishing. Got it ONR washed, tires dressed, chrome tips polished, and all taped up (lots of tape). headed off to work at 5 until 10, then headed back to the shop at 1030. I did a couple test panels to see what I was working with on the paint. Turns out, megs 83 on an orange pad followed by 80 on a blue pad was the meal ticket! The finish came out super glossy and slick. I applied liquid luster wax because although it doesnt last more than 2-4 weeks, it has some good depth and wetness to it!

I finished the truck at 6 in the morning!!! I believe it left for SEMA (yes they drove it out there and washed it there) at about an hour and a hlaf later at 730-8.

Anyway, I had a good time and Redbull kept me going as I pulled a 22 hour day that day...loooooong time to stay away for anyone!

I didnt take the pics, they were done by the magazine people I believe...

hopefully after all that time and effort and product, he will call me up to do the rest of his cars. I spent about 10 hours on it for a grand total of 50 bucks...hopefully it was worth it in the end and I get some more business from it!

Very nice. Can't say I agree with doing it for a pittance of $5/hr but it's cool to say you did a celebrity's vehicle...

exactly the reason why I did it....

my offer was 100 for exterior only, they got exterior and a DP interior protectant wipedown for 50...they win...lol

and yeah its the same truck...the front bumper was damaged and thats why it was at the shop, getting a new one installed. the front right headlight was still damaged.

thats crazy! That was the exact same truck that rampage went on a rampage in irvine and the police shout out its tires.

If it is, they must have pulled all the logos off. The one he was arrested in had a huge Toyo Tires logo on it as well as huge pictures of him on the side.

Great job on the detail. I bet you had to climb all over that thing to get it done. I'm not a rampage fan myself. I hope Wanderlei stops him AGAIN.

Rampage is a cool guy, nice job. I could have sworn the truck he swiped all those cars with was a toyota, guess not.

More of the truck:

Yeah class act there. Run from the accident, get taken down at gun-point then have sponsors repair the truck, and pay the detailer $5 which probably barely cover's materials.

he had no idea about the detail, so it wasnt out of his pocket, but rather the customizing shop owners...and I am pretty sure he paid for a new bumper out of his pocket as well...

I saw this truck at SEMA the other day . It look terrific . All the cars and trucks there looked terrific . jajajajaja

Cheers , Jean Paul
