ZFX or Z1 is required for your first coat regardless of whether or not you are using a "Pro" version. Neither is required for subsequent coats but ZFX should be used if you want to apply more than one (no more than three) coats in a 24 hour period. The use of ZFX or Z1 should be repeated approximately every 6 months.

Let's not forget that if you apply the new ZAIO, You can apply the Z5pro or Z2pro without the zfx additive. If applying an additional coat immediately, the ZFX additive will need to be used.

So adding Z2/Z5 after ZAIO will be like adding a second coat of protection then?

Have read where one beta tester got 15 applications out of a 1oz sample of CS. Say you only get 10 apps per oz..... 40 apps (cars) out of 4oz..... ease of use....durability.....

blkZ28Conv was the beta tester that said he can get 15 applications from 1 oz of product. :shocked

How the heck does that happen??? If CS is a liquid, how in the world do can you get that many? I would think that at least .15-.25 an ounce would absorb into the applicator...

I can't speak for blkZ28Conv but for me I was able to do 8-10 cars per 1 oz of product, on my test vehicles. The CS came in a little bottle with a sprayer. Spraying 1 spritz per panel (2 on hood, roof, trunk) and spreading it in with the terry applicator, the applicator once finished, is surprisingly very dry.

Sounds like the way I was shown to use AJT, thanks for the post.
 
I should have the AJT today via fedex, if it applies anything like AW, I would think its already on the same page as CS sounds. when I use AW it disappears unless you really over use the product, no buffing, no hard rubbing, heavy petting, etc



any insight on the CS? just mist on a panel, wipe with MF and it basically disappears right? now looks any durability could be another thing. :secret



I guess I have to wait to try Z5 or Z2 pro because Z1 is not around anymore and AIO is not out yet

Good point.



The product in the applcator is still available for application. The CS is a very slick product and dispenses from the applicator very well. It spreads like "melted butter" with zero resistance. The amount used may also be dependent on the slickness of the applied surface and porousness of the finish. Old paint may require more product initially until surface is sealed. This should not be a problem if applied over a sealant or cured carnuaba product.

An even better development is the sprayer that CS will be supplied with (I am assuming) will be a very misting type and one 1/4 spritz directly on a panel will be sufficient (maybe 2 for horizonal areas (i.e hood).



CS will be like Z6 and Z8. A little will go a long way and a micro-layer application per coat is all that is needed to accomplish the task.:heelclick

AW and Trigger require a buff with a MF.



CS just requires application and it will dry on it own (15 -30 mins) to a wonderful apperance. No buffing is required or should be done after application. Buffing will remove product from finish resulting in a non-application.:soscared:

Sounds like a typical Zaino product. I've learned the hard way how less is more with the Z-2 and Z-5 products.



It really changes the economics also. 8 ounces goes a long way with Z-2. About a year with my usage.
 
I would still like to see an official estimate (from Zaino I guess?) of the durability of CS as a standalone sealant. Zaino has stated and it is well known and tested that the sealants (Z2/Z5) are 6 month+ protectants (depending on conditions and vehicle storage). Sure it sounds very easy to use, but so are other products I like. It sounds to me tempting to try for the ease of use factor, but I'm not really sure if it offers greater (or equal) durability and protection as products I currently prefer. I guess the uncertainty is bugging me...lol I am still confused as to whether the CS is more of a sealant/wax booster or a true standalone with all the durability/protection as a true Z sealant.

CS is a stand alone sealant with Zaino-like durability. No Z1, no ZFX, no dawn wash, etc just a clean surface. Of course, like all LSP's, the better the prep the better is the appearance.



This is not an over-night formulated product. Testing has been going for years (internally) not just the months :bigups that has incorporated the external beta testing reviews written here.



Like all detailing products, if there's a fit in one's regimen the need to have will be there. If not, well no need to worry about or purchase.

No problem. Thanks for finding it. I was WRONG and did say it. I am sure I was angry at the time for purchasing it.



Purchasing that product was a good learning experience to be very careful of which reviews to trust.
