Breaking Zaino news...

I too think AW is a nice product, but I prefer Z8.

I am not gonna sit here and try to tell anyone that I prefer Z8 over a good LSP.

To me that's a very bold statement.

I'm in love with AW. One, it's cheap. Two, it's super easy on and off, it isn't picky at all. Three it looks great and lasts a long time.

Why would you consider that a bold statement?

because there are a lot of people on this board who really like AW, to say CS is in a different league makes it seem like a complete miracle product.

So I’m reading along trying to find some value in this thread, I’m sure others are as well….it’s a struggle cutting through the hype.

Would the active posters in this thread who have actually tried Z-CS or Z-AIO please raise their hands.

Thanks

Does anyone remember a clear sealant from the late 80's early 90's that you would just "glide" on with no buffing afterwards? I think it was made by Blue Corral and it was the worst stuff I ever used. (I think you even needed mineral spirits to remove it) There were late night infomercials with a little guy with an English accent saying to put it over junk yard hoods and everything. Anyway- I'm an avid Zaino user and look forward to the new products but I have to admit the first time I heard clear liquid (clear seal) that does not need to be buffed I thought of that Blue Corral infomercial stuff!! Haha!

Word must have traveled fast to Sal's website. The links to the new products do not work now.:furious:

I've tested both products.

what is the price for 4 oz going to be? I don't think I saw it in here anywhere.

None of that information is known yet.

People keep saying that they wont have to use ZFX because of ZAIO, but you've never HAD to use ZFX....that's why Sal sells the Z1.

Sal didn't knock *any* product.

not in general,

No more short-lived-shine carnauba or silicone based products. No more weak or soft waxes that offer weeks if not mere days of protection. And finally, no more laboring over application. Z-CS is it.

That quote came from an unpublished web page.

If you don't like Zaino, don't like Zaino's ad copy, don't like Zaino users, etc., it's no sweat to anyone. Just move along, and don't worry about it.

This thread has some very valid points and claims, and it also has some invalid points and claims. Each reader, especially those less experienced, should take this into consideration when reading through all of the *opinions* that have been posted.

This is an excellent statement; thanks for letting us know that you do have some actual testing experience with these “un-released products.

In any event, it is great to see companies like Zaino and Optimum working hard on new and better products...that means everyone else will have to as well.

On this we agree Scott. :) The free market competition is an incredible force for good for consumers.

Silk, that is the futherest statement from the truth. I have no connections to Sal or Zaino! I was just posting info I thought Autopian's would want to know. That is the purpose of this forum! "Cleaver Marketing" no way. Just info so Autopian's know what is going on!!!! You think I have something to gain by this? You are saddly wrong!!!! I made a terrible mistake my first post and Sal called me to set me straight!!!! He did and I deserved it!!! I post my mistake! And that should not turn off any customers!!! If you want to be angry at someone be angry at me!!!!!!

brother, I think you misunderstood my statement. 1st, I'm not angry at anyone. Business is Business. We are discussing detailing products. I don't put up my "dukes" over that. Part of the passion Zaino users have for the product makes me want to try it. Another part doesn't.

I've never tried Zaino products. I may not know what I am missing? Further down the road, I might be the one who is a Zaino only' user. But for now.. no

With the advent of the internet and information at your fingertips, you simply cannot sit on the sideline anymore if you produce automotive car care products. You must continue to improve or you will fall to the wayside and get run over.

I'm sorry to hear that partner.....

Your exactly right in saying you may not know what your missing. Because unless you actually try the product and see the results for yourself, you'll never know....

The same goes for all the rest of the products mentioned in this forum.

Silk, give Zanio a try and post your personal test results here. Try some Z5p and/or Z2p with zfx on your personal auto and see for yourself......

You just may be pleasently surprised.....:xyxthumbs

Good luck....

It is in a different league, as its in a different product catagory.

The fact that there are alot of people that like a product really has no effect on what a product does or what was made to do.

I am sure that Mr wannafbody did not make his statement to insult a product or those that use it.

Yes sir! I was just reading about the 600hp rating of the 08 viper that will be out in mid 07. If there was not a 505hp Z06, would I be reading about the 600hp viper?

Hate to throw this into this discusson tread, but here goes... Xzilon is also a "wipe on and leave alone" sealant, plus can be applied over any other LSP. I am not endorsing this product, just thought I'd bring it up as a product that seems to have at least a couple of the characteristics of CS that we're raving about.

This is based on my understanding of the product from speaking with Xzilon tech service and from speaking with service managers and general managers at auto dealers. Since this product is sold and applied only through dealerships it is hard to get real good data on it...

There isn't any tech or spec data on their website, Xzilon, but there is a sales oriented mp4 that you can watch about the product that states things like never needs to be reapplied, withstands surface temps upto 400 deg, 5 year warranty, etc. Really hoaky propaganda stuff and is geared for the new car buyer to try to close them on spending hundreds of dollars for this stuff. Their server seems to be real slow, so opening or downloading the 33 meg file for me was painfully slow...
