Breaking Zaino news...

Any guess on the price of CCS?

I cant wait to try it, but will probably wait until spring when I do my full detail (paint correction and all) if it's as expensive as I think it will be.

I suspect that it will be fairly expensive-after all it took 5 years to develope it.

someone tell me how this sounds for my first detail (1.5 y/o, dark gray, never detailed before):

1. wash/clay/wash

2. OP w/ orange LC pad

3. Z-AIO w/ white finishing pad

4. Z5pro

5. Z6 wipedown (maybe Z8?)

6. CS

the paint is in pretty decent condition and there aren't any real major swirls... should i add Z-PC to the regimen or should the OP be enough? thanks for your help guys..

That sounds like a plan. From what I understand you do not want to put CS right over Z8.

Ordered :D

Got the "triplets", a new bottle of Z2Pro, and 2 bottles of Z6. I still have a full bottle of Z7 and half a bottle of Z8 on the shelf.

Yay.

I assume you would just use a white polishing pad for ZAIO?

Thanks guys, good luck with the new stuff! (And dang, its expensive!)

It's pricey, but trust me, it goes a LOONG way. For me, applying to a car by hand it took less than a half oz, and the clear seal took about 1/4-1/8 oz. If you want to use the AIO by pc, a polishing or finishing pad is great.

For ZCS at 1/4oz per application you are looking at $1.25 per application, half of that (.63 an app.) if you use 1/8oz per application. :)

The last batch of CS that I tested arrived in a 1oz bottle, and it was ~ 3/4 full. It covered 2 SUV's, 1 min-van, and my car (paint, glass, wheels, lighting -everything). CS is super slick and spreads very thin.

After testing both products for several months, I think they are a good value at the price points listed on the Zaino site. I expected to see CS come in around or above FMJ, and was pleasantly surprised to see it listed at just under $30.

With the versatility of this product, the price is quite reasonable. I expected closer to $40 when it was stated that 6 oz bottle was the packaging amount.

Considering CS just added value to my dust collecting Pinnacle Souveran, P21S, Zymol Carbon, etc, this price is cheap.

Oh yeah....with the Acrylic Jetts and the Zaino Sharks!

Tonight, tonight, I'll wax a car tonight...

To the tune of the chorus from "America/West Side Story.."

I wanna try Ultima on my car

Zaino will say they're the best by far

Meguiar's 21 is a rising star

What should I use to wax my car?

clear coat paint in America,

chromium steel in America,

alloy wheels in America,

very big deal in America!

:chuckle: :D :grinno:

If there is, he's not sharing it with the public. I just asked him a week ago. He also poo-pooed coatings as not offering real protection and not building the film thickness they claim.

A Z2-ish product, without the need for the catalyst, was in the works last time I spoke with him. I don't have any details.

Last time I spoke to him (2years ago) he said he was working on new products. Keep pushing for larger sizes of z6 z8 but I guess he isn't interested.

I don't know what they claim, but the coatings I've used have both increased PTG measurements. As for offering real protection...well, I have to disagree. I will leave it at that.
