I debated on whether or not to put this in the click & brag forum, but after searching I found no reviews on the products, I decided to put it here. Mini Review of the product and some before and after shots.
Yesterday when klraudio and myself went over to properautocare and talked to Jon for a while. After speaking with him, I just had to try the two Blackfire products, that create the "Wet-Ice over Fire Shine". Simply put it is Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection followed by Blackfire Ivory Carnuba Paste Wax. It is an expensive combo, but now I know why.
I put it to the test on my White Volvo. Here are the products used in the detail.
1. P21S Total Auto Wash
2. Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection
3. Blackfire Ivory Carnuba Paste Wax
4. Eiman Fabrik Clear Vision II
5. Eiman Fabrik Ultra Black Tire Dressing
6. Klasse AIO
Here are some before photos of how dirty the car was. It had been two weeks since I washed it.
THe First step was washing the car with the Total Auto Wash....Strong citrus cleaner that was used to strip off my prior LSP. Worked great and left the car sparkling shine...That squeaky clean look definately.
Step 2 was applying the Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection. When at CMA, Jon and I discussed the differences between the Menzerna FMJ and this product. He convinced me to give it a try. All I can say is thank you. The product performs very similar to FMJ in the application process. Goes on smooth as silk, and took about 15 minutes to cover the entire car. A light blue liquid in color that really does not have much of an odor at all. Think clean laundry smell if any. This products direction ask that you wait for a haze and then buff off. Once the haze comes, it is FLAT OUT THE EASIEST PRODUCT TO BUFF OFF EVER. FMJ would be a close second, but this one is almost like if you sneezed, the product would fly off the car. Leaves the car very shiny and the car could be complete at this step. Tough to tell depth on white, but the car looked amazing. Almost wanted to just stop. Very similar look to FMJ. Not quite as slick as FMJ to the touch, but the look is outstanding.
Had to take an 8 hour break, so waited overnight. This morning it was time to break out the nifty briefcase the wax comes in and get to work.
The product has the same consistency of moste paste waxes in the container, but when you start to use it, it is like rubbing your car with butter. Very similar to the texture of P21S Carnuba. Goes on smooth. Per the instructions, you do not wait for the wax to haze. Just rub it in once section at a time, and rub it off with the applicator and buffing towel that came with the wax. So as I am doing this in the garage, I am thinking to myself, looks good, nice application and then I finished. Pulled the car out the driveway and almost fainted. It looked better to me than any other wax I have used on this car. I was ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY.
To get the "Wet Ice Over Fire Shine" look that Jon has been speaking about, it asks for 2 coats of this paste wax. Tomorrow morning I will do just that.
Then I cleaned the tires and and rims and coated the rims with Klasse AIO.
The tires were done with Eiman Fabrik Ultra Black Tire Dressing. This was the 1st time I have used this product. I have used the tire gel they make for quite a while. Goes on smooth and very little is needed.
Windows were done with Eiman Fabrik Clear Vision II. (the best IMHO).
Here are some after shots. As usual my pictures suck. I am terrible at pictures, but you can get the general idea.
All in all, a definate 2 thumbs up. This product combo is fabulous and I would recommend any of the products used to any person that really wants to make the car look like a "show car". I compare the wax to Pinnacle, but really have to give a slight edge to this in terms of personal preference. Any questions, do not hesitate to ask. Again the pictures do not do this product justice.
