Black WOW! Awesome stuff

I just ordered some BW today. I'm interested to try it out. Should be here in about a week. I'll chime in with my thoughts when I try it.

Can you use it on a tan plastic/rubber bumper, or only on black material?

On what vehicle? If it's exterior plastic trim you should be fine, that's what it for.

Just got my Black WOW! Hope to try it out soon!

Also, how does this stuff compare to Mother's "Back to Black?"

I find that B2B doesn't last as long as BW. I was using that on my trim before BW and it would be gone by the next wash for some reason...maybe it dried out or something

To answer someones post from earlier, NO it does not work well on rubber around windows. It works well on faded plastic but requires some elbow grease to fully work in. I did half my car with BW and the other half with Eiman Fabrik Black Sapphire and here's what I found. Both sides looked the same when done. Both have similar durability. BW was greasy and streaky to work with while Eiman Fabrik went on MUCH easier. I said it before and I'll say it again. I just don't get the whole Black Wow attraction. There are other products that work just as well and are much easier to work with.

It seems like people have a really easy or hard time with BW. Maybe i'll try the EFBS when my BW runs out (which will be a looong time).

I tried my Black Wow a few days ago. So far, I think it is awesome. I did all the exterior trim. I was doing the roof rack of my Outback, and after doing one half, and walking around to the other side, the difference was amazing! It was a night and day difference. I haven't washed the car yet, but it has rained and the rain does not seem to have affected it.

Man, you barely use any. I basically used it on the whole lower half of my car (since Outbacks have rubber/plastic bumpers and panels wrapping around the vehicle), plus the trim, and roof rack. I was surprised how little product I used.

My assessment thus far is that this is very good stuff.

I think my experience was different because I put it on pretty thick and only buffed it a little. It just rained again so I'll check it again tomorrow.

What are you using to apply it? Does it last long or only hang around till it rains?

I used the foam applicator it came with (it came with three). My experience is that it stays on even after a rain. I checked it tonight after another rain, and it is still on. I also applied it a little heavier, though. I let it sit for several minutes before lightly taking off any excess with a microfiber towel. But I didn't buff it. A little really goes a long way. It's going to take me a long time to go through the whole bottle.

Just use a foam applicator and use a little dot and you'll be fine. It's lasted through quite a few rains already here in S. FL.
