Black Pacifica Redo (lil story)

She'll Buff Out
This is a perfect example of what i was talking about in my last post of dealerships having a bad detail rep.
A guy bought this car last week but it hadnt been
detailed yet. So he said he'll wait until its done to come pick it up. One of the others did it (it was my day off). So he came and picked it up friday night after he got off work. He was there this morning bright and early (service is closed on the weekends) saying how horrible the car looked and he didnt want it anymore (you have 48 hours to change your mind on a sale).
So he went and talked to the salesman who sold it to him, who i used to work with at the cadillac dealership also. The salesman told him to hold on one sec. I get a phone call at 7 this morning (my day off) asking if i can come in and look at a car. So i go down there and look at it. Told the salesman give me 4 hours. They guy agreed to it and left.

After it was so called "detailed" the first time.

So i went through the whole car again and here are the results. I went through the interior again to but i didnt take pics.

So the ending of the story. I finished the car and then went straight home to enjoy the rest of my day off. 30 mins later i get another phone call asking to come back down to work. I was thinking o great he doesnt like it. So i get there, go into the showroom and go to the salesman desk were him and the customer are waiting. I walk up and he goes well heres the kid who did your car. The guy just starts to rave about how impressed he was and how much he loved the car. He couldnt believe the turnaround. So we talk and all. Now im going to his house next week to do all his cars and keep them up. So we shook hands i felt him put something into my palm. I didnt want to be rude and look so i waited for him to leave. I about crapped myself when i saw what he handed me lol.
Even tho the car wasnt that hard to bring back, its always nice to know when your work is noticed and appreciated.

soo ill be the first to ask what did he hand you...and also to say say nice job its a good feeling making people happy

Love when I see those type of racing flames on the befores -- seems to me that some people pay extra for them!!!

It feels good making people happy :D
You did a great job. I should always think of looking at a car under the sun before buying it.

You saved the car sale without question. The chimp that marked it up so badly in the first place needs to be relieved of duty. Nice work, very nice.

Nice turnaround. I always enjoy showing up other peoples work with my own. I'm sure you weren't too happy about working on your day off, but it seems like it was definitely worth it in the end.

Nice work Trevor :bigups It looks like you get a lot of dirty jobs...Wanna do my Jeep next? :D

You just might have found a pathway to your own detailing business. This guy is definately going to be telling his friends about you, and you justmight have to leave the dealership...:yay

You hit it on the nose. The guy actually called me last night to set up his apointment for his other cars and also he got me a couple jobs with his friends. I think now would be a good time looking into getting some business cards.

That's awesome. Car came out nice once someone who knew/cared about what they were doing got their hands on it. Great job! Process?

Thanks man, i totally forgot about the process. I gotta stop doing that lol.

Washed with P&S super suds
(Didnt need to compund it, they already took care of that lol)
I tried out a new product i got the day before called EZ1 Dark Glaze w/ a finishing pad (worked awesome)
Then P&S Ultracoat polish with a finesse pad
Topped it with P&S Ultracoat wax

Id say the guy who did the job the first time needs to be GONE!!!! Nicework! RANDAL

Thanks,
I couldnt agree more, this isnt the first time hes done this either. I just dont think they want to go through the hassle of finding someone new but who knows.

Can I ask how you got the job detailing at a dealership in the first place? that seems like a great job if you like cars.

P.S. GREAT WORK!!!!!!

I tried out a new product i got the day before called EZ1

First off, what's EZ1 Dark Glaze? I've seen a new product line in the showroom at P&S ( not P&S brand), is this part of that line? How did you like it? Seemed to do a fantastic job of removing the swirls

Again nice work! I detailed another Jeep today and noticed it had a few holograms from a past detail, but nothing that bad

Ya thats exactly where i got it. I asked Eric if he had anything that work as well as the Presta Swirl Remover but easier to wipe off. He told me to give the EZ1 a try. I loved it. Went on nice and smooth, did a awesome job removing the swirls and wipes off with barely any effort. A lil dust was left over but i just blew it off with the airgun. Think this is going to replace my PSR, they also have it for light color cars but Eric said to just use the dark for both. Its deff worth the $20 to give it try and if you dont like it, Eric will always refund you your money if you not happy with it.
