Best wax for depth and shine out there...

Just wondering if/when there will be a Spring CMA discount for Autopia members?

I'm looking to place an order with CMA for several items, and will wait a bit if a discount will be given soon.

Thanks in advance. :)

Me too! I am eyeing the CMA special on Pinnacle PCL and wondering if I can fill in that discount code box! I want to try this stuff a lot.

:bow

From my understanding, there won't be another discount offered to us till April. I would jump on the sprint specials they have right now though. I don't think that even with our Autopia discount that we could get a can of Souveran for $55. The discounts right now are a little better than our 20% by a little bit.

When CMA offers one then David will send you an email with the discount code in it. If you get the email then you get the discount. :) Every member of the forum will get the email when the time comes. David usually puts an announcement on the forums to remind you.

P.S. Autopia discounts aren't going to be combinable with other discounts, more than likely. If you are eyeing Pinnacle now then you better jump on it. Get one of everything. :D My Pinnacle supply is officially full. I think I have one of everything now.

Yes, you are probably correct...drats!

Actually, I emailed Terry at CMA asking when the next Autopia discount would be (thinking he somehow set the timing), indicating he had some specials I wanted to double up savings on. He didn't know when the next discount was, but he also didn't say I couldn't double up the discount. From the ordering process, you fill up your cart, then put the discount code in as part of checking out. I'm hoping it does work out, I'm waiting on the next discount to get some stuff for me and for the next father's day gifts.

The Spring sale will probably run out before Terry approves the Autopia discount. I wouldn't hold out to see if they are combinable. Since it is only around for another 3 weeks or so I would get on it now and then use the Autopia discount for the products that don't go on sale. This CMA sale is the best deal on the net right now for those products. :up

Not totally true but pretty darn close.

Price is not an option, but from my research I came up with

Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax

is this the best wax out there? I do not care of about how long it will last etc. I just want the best possible shine. My car is red.

Thanks!

I have a red Ford lightning and I use BlackFire Wet Diamond topped with Danase Wet Glaze. Deep, wet and it really pops!

thx for the feedback...

I've been using BF polish followed by coats of BFWD. I don't know what it is maybe the fact that it's a wax sealant, but I don't feel like I'm getting the depth I want. I drive the car once probably every week or 2 weeks. Gar is always garage kept and under a car cover. So I think carnuba wax might be the best bet, but not sure what would be the absolute best one. Trying to find out what's the best of the best out there.

Aside from cost being no object, maybe you could try the Blackfire Midnight Sun over the BFWD. You wouldn't run into any compatability issues.

I found Swissvax Concorso, Supernatural or any of the high end Zymol waxes to blow away PS. I have not tried BF but suspect it is very similar to PS as far as looks and durability.

I just put 2 coats of Midnight Sun over my Vette, pics are on this site and Im quite impressed with the results. Like you I store my car covered and only drive it every 2-3 weeks when its nice.

I have never seen Souveran to look any better or worse than anything else I've used (save Zaino). I have Souveran in my arsenal right now and rarely use it... not because I think others look better, but because I think other products are EASIER TO USE.

For me (and this is pure personal preference) the most important factor in deciding which LSP I use, is always "ease of use". That is why BFWD is my #1.

I also have Midnight Sun in my arsenal, but IMO, it is not nearly as easy to use as BFWD, which is just a dream.

I know some swear by the looks of certain LSP's but I've never been convinced that one looks any better or worse than any other.

Just my two cents.

I also love BFWD. I also agree that many of the products have very similar results. I have done side by side tests of several products and asked the opinion of others. Many cannot see a difference and those who say they like one over the other often cannot say why. In those side by side tests I have also noticed that a second coat makes a significant difference. Some of the products that didn't impress in the side by sides, blew me away after a second coat. Prior to seeing it first hand I would not have believed that a second coat would make a bigger difference than the first.

I should also note that those tests were done on perfectly prepped paint. Preparation is responsible for probably 90% of the result.

If you want depth and are not concerned about durability, try BF Midnight Sun by itself. Don't judge on just the first coat. Wait for the second.:Dancing Dot::cool:

A lot of good points on here.... I think I'll give the BlackFire midnight sun a shot! You guys are right you can't go wrong with applying BFWD and then applying the midnight sun after that. I'll try two coats of it as well.

Thanks!
