Best tire shine and dressing

Eagle One. I thought using armor all was a big Autopia no-no.

Armor All was reformulated a few years ago and is now not only water based, but has a more satiny shine and is pretty durable.

Nobody's mentioned it, but I like 303. It usually lasts me a month before a have to reapply it. Nice satin finish it gives!!!!!!

I agree to the 303 vote. Expensive but worth every penny. I find it lasts as well. I'm not into the greasy look at all, I think it looks cheap on most cars (but complements some!).

I've found this with 303. With 303 on my tires, when I wash my wheels with soap and water, I use a separate wash mitt to actually wash the tires just like the wheels. This gets all the surface dirt off and the tires still look pretty freshly treated. Makes it last WAY longer this way. Try it! :up

I like the look of Vinylex, applied with a damp (soaked in water and wrung out well) 3M O-Cel-O sponge. Nice satin finish with good durability. That being said, I may try Amorall. A 32oz bottle is generally $9.99 versus the same price for 16.9oz of Vinylex. :up

I always learn something when I come here. :up

I keep switching between endurance and the wolfgang. I think next time around when I'm done with the endurance I'll just keep the wolfgang tire gel.

i like the 1z Tiefenpfleger and 303 aerospace protectant... both give a nice dark and rich finish, without too much shine...

303 user here too. Neighbor uses Meg's Hot Shine, but it slings even if you wipe/buff it out, it looks ok though, not too shiney. Been seeing some of the import guys using a tire spray called "Shining Monkey", http://www.shiningmonkey.com/ , but it was at night so it's hard to tell what the tire really looks like after you apply the spray or if it slings.

Isn't that discontinued now? If not ,where to buy? I have never seen it.

It's now called Interior/Exterior Protectant. I've seen it a few times at various KMart's. I think it's still on E1's website too.

I have all the variations and they're pretty much the same product.

Dumb follow-up questions:

1) I assume you are refferring to Armor All® Original Protectant

2) If it has been reformulated, why do they call it Armor All® Original Protectant.

3) What is the difference between Armor All® Detailer's Advantage® Protectant and Armor All® Original Protectant

I think when when talk about AA we are talking about the "original". It's probably called that referring to the original look or shine of the first AA product not necessarily same formula which we know was bad.

Maybe Detailer's Advantage is shinier, has the "bad" ingredients?

Hey, how do you get that registered product symbol, r in circle, to show up? Do you type in Word first and paste it to the forum?

1. Yes

2. I don't know, maybe because the name is so reconizable

3. I haven't used the Detailer's Advantage

I'm going to chime in again on this thread and give another vote for. . .TOL's Grape Tire dressing.

Just tried it again after sitting on the shelf for awhile. Very nice look on my Michelins. Dark and shiny. Doesn't collect dust like some of the gels.
