Best tire shine and dressing

It depends on which type of tire you have, different compounds react differently.

I totally agree with C-MDX. On my tires, Poorboy's BnB is a nice, deep black, matte finish. My tires are BFG g-Force KDWS.

On the Firestone tires for this Jeep I did, BnB was used as well and applied exactly the same way as on my TL but note how shiny they are.

That being said, BnB is still my favorite right now (with Z-16 being a close second.) Both are water based and fairly thin. I use a folded terry cloth shop towel to even out the application. BnB is also very versatile and I use it on mudflaps, trunk liners , all-season mats, etc...

I like Pro's Blue Ice tire dressing. Smells good, a little goes a long way, minimal sling and it really highlights the details of the tire. Durability also seems to be good.

I personally go with Megs High Gloss Endurance OVER Hot Shine (good gloss, good durability...even in rain)

I'm suprised I haven't seen more rec's for Stoner's MSLT...it's a pretty good product too!

I personally prefer the Egle One Tire Wet and also use the foam applicator to apply evenly over the tire.

I have also found that using the applicator keeps me from applying too much so that I can minimize / eliminate slinging. Giving it about 20 minutes before driving also gives it time to set.

I love the stuff, find it to be quite affordable and readily available, and like the semigloss shine that I get with it.

I picked up DuPont Teflon Tire Shine since it was free after mail in rebate from Discount Auto Parts. Believe it or not, it works VERY good. I usually apply it with a damp sponge. It is water based, has ZERO sling, and a nice satin shine....try it some time.

I have grown to like MSLT, I just ordered a case and love the stuff. Nice even shine, good durability, and with a quick wipe afterwords no sling(very minimal after regular application anyways)

I like Megs endurance a lot. Tons of shine, lasts very long, but slings a lot. Even after wipping the excess off to the point of having no shine at all. After I get some mudguards I wont need to do the wipping.

Poorboys BNB is awesome. I used to use endurance, but BNB is cheaper and lasts longer for me on my older tires. The new tires I have it has lasted through 4 washings (weekly washes) and a rain storm. not too bad

I like Poorboy's B&B. Hi gloss, cleans ( Endurance series dressings tend to gum-up and distort finer features of sidewall design IMO) and shine upon application, dries non-greasy, zero sling and great as a fenderwell dressing also. :xyxthumbs

I apply all dressings with an applicator and massage into rubber. :wavey

My thoughts exactly!

Store bought - Armor All w/ an EO Tire Swipe

Online bought - Poorboy's Bold 'N Brite w/ a foam applicator

Is it me or does everytime I spray some kind of dressing on my tires/wheels I get tons of chemicals on the paint?

Probably because your using an aerosol. I've outlawed them from my work. Lately I've been applying JAL Non silicone and then topping with shine it silicone dressing after thirty minutes for the JAL to penetrate. Applying my anti browning product and topping with RD Black, then a coat of N/S and finally silicone prevents anything from stripping the dressing off and there is no shilacky/greasy/oily look and feel to the tyres due to the anti browning agent.

Still experimenting but hopefully I will find the right formulation that will keep tyres black permanently and provide a brilliant shine for over three months

When you consider how much it costs, I don't think you'll get much better than Amor-All. Very quick and easy to apply. Now a water-based product, so kind on tires unlike the old stuff.

Agreed. If you use an EO tire swipe, the coating is very even too. I've been playing around with Meguiars Hyper Dressing (cut 3:1 with water) and All Season Dressing. So far, both are pretty good.
