I haven't been on the forum for a while.

What is the best leather cleaners and protectorants that are out there now.

I have been using Woolite to clean with and several different conditioners/creams or liquids in a bottle in the past.

I have a Volvo C70 and a Buick Reatta (European and American leathers)

I just noticed a Raggto kit...is that a good or desirable product or should I stick with a cream (please suggest the best creams)?

Thanks,

Nic

It's a toss up for me between Zaino Z9/Z10 and Sonus Leather Cleaner/Sonus Leather Conditioner. The conditioner is really an excellent product, and I prefer it on perforated/grainy leather, whereas Z10 is nice on smooth leather.

I use Zaino Z9 to clean, and mix up Z10/Z16 (3:1 or 4:1) to protect and for light cleaning.

I've been very happy with the results and durability.

Has anyone every used this? I was watching a promotional video on the product line and they said that it's leather product has a spf 65. The highest in the industry. Any feedback would be great!

Thanks!

I've tried the Adam's, along with practically every leather conditioner out there. I wasn't impressed.

The Four Star conditioner is very good. Zaino's is good but has a very strong leather scent, which will get on your hands and make you smell like a boot for hours. I used the Sonus the last time I did my interior and liked the effect, but not the smell. It is a very high-quality one. Griot's also makes an excellent conditioner. Any of these would be a good choice, depending on what you are looking for.

For a cleaner, I second the Woolite recommendation. That's what many car manufacturers recommend, and it works very well without leaving gunk behind or making a stain worse.

I haven't tried everything, but I love Natural Look, FK1's #108 (very little smell if any) and Optimum's (no smell) To clean leather I likeTol's

Thinking back on this topic again......I actually have a somewhat different situation with my leather seats (these are the gray seats from my 1990 Buick Reatta....American Seating which from what I understand is spray dyed or colored at the factory).

My coupe (and seats) had 70 some thousand miles about two years ago and the wear lines in the seats were turning or wearing to a tan /leather color. I contacted "Thad" at Vinyl Pro of Southern PA (with the help of good 'ole Google ). He suggested redying with SEM water bourne dye/paint, which I did and they turned out and have been wonderful since then...look super proffessional / nice :). Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I wrote him an email asking a question that made a lot of sense to me (and did to him as well per his reply). My question related to the fact that the re-dye (or any new American treated leather seating with NON-PORUSED (sp) coating/s as well) or re-coloring of the seats would cover the (seal the pores of the leather closed) leather, and not allow any penetration of these so called leather treatments/conditioners/preservatives so they could do what they were advertised to do . Thad at Vinyl Pro totally agreed. He suggested using 303 to protect the SEM coating/s as the fancy conditioners/preservatives would not prove to be beneficial and a waste of material and money......just makes a lot of sense. Now on European and Asian leathers where the leathers are vat dyed and PORUSED (sp) the preservative/protectorants are still worth their salt ...... hope this proves to be helpful.

Seems Im an oddball here... I have been using Zymol cleaner and conditoner for a few years and I really really like it. Smells incredible too.

For leather, I've always had good luck with:

and

For a spray I like:

(for a glossier finish)

and

(for a more satin or matte finish)

The 1Z Lederpflege is excellent and I loved AutoGlym Leather Care on my Daimler's Magnolia hides.

I agree about the Lederpflege; it's an excellent one-step product (both cleans and conditions).
