i consider myself to be a fairly picky guy when it comes to my cars. they always get detailed and maintaned regulary but ive never really used high end brand detailing supplies. ive been looking around and i have found a few kits im curious of and would like your opinions and possible experience with the kits i have listed.

chemical guys kit:

Mobile Detailing

pinnacle:

Pinnacle Complete Detailing Wax & Cleaning Kit- Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay, Souveran Wax, Bodywork Shampoo, Paintwork Cleansing Lotion, and more!

zaino:

Zaino Ultimate Protection Show Car Kit: Zaino Store

klasse/sonus

Sonus Perfect Shine Kit

jaidedeye- Welcome to Autopia!

Of those kits, the Chemical Guys one seems the most complete. Things like waffle-weave MFs are necessary and (apparently) not included with the other kits. If you want to get everything (at least everything for starters) with one order the CG one looks the best of the four.

I agree, plus that seems to be a great price.

If your looking for wax and not a sealant the Pinnacle Kit looks good. Souveran is one of the best waxes on the market.

+1 for chemical guys, because of the mf products, other than that, you could always buy a bundle of mf's anywhere and get any one of the others, they are all suitable.

I realize that I am about to hijack this thread, but how many sites does Checmical Guys have? The one in the OP's post, chemicalguys.com, and smartwax.com. I wonder how different the prices are?

Welcome to Autopia, are you a Vet or Active? Since you are asking for high end I'd say go with Zaino, there is a difference in quality in my opinion and I've tried them both. Mainly durabilty and having a non oily surface is what I'm reffering too. Especially in your area, you want durabilty and a good dust repelling non oily product. I think this is most important in the lower hot humid states. Souvern is over priced and lacking any durabilty. If you are waxing a show car there is nothing better, but on a daily driver I'd go with something that will repel dust and last. I haven't tried the newer Autopia line, but I think those two are the high end lines that are popular here and they have a package. Any line that builds around butter wet wax I wouldn't consider high end. I'm not saying it's not a good value or product, in fact Chemicalguys may be the best value, but you specifically asked for high end. The one thing I'd change about the Zaino kit is order seperately instead of the kit, ZAIO is way better than ZFX.

thanks for the welcome guys....

im an Active Duty SSgt been in the Air Force for over 12 years...

considering what all of you have said for the money, the CG it is a great deal...BUT, for durability and long lasting shin the SONUS/KLASSE kit and the Zaino kit seem to be where its at...after taking a closer look at the CG kit it almost comes across a a "car wash" supply type of product..i could be wrong.

so, comparing the SONUS/KLASSE and the ZAINO wich would you guys go with?

I like Grouse recommendation, however, it would make much more sense for you to get a UDM kit, which includes all the things he listed that you would by separately... lots of the websites have kits with pads, etc.

CG kit is hard to beat for the other supplies.

Zaino first (but Klasse has it's place, the AIO has easy application however the HGSG can be finicky).

The main difference between Sonus and Zaino kit is Sealant versus Wax, the same comparisions as before. I'd say try the Zaino unless there is a Sonus kit that includes SG or you want to add a sealant. I used to live in S Carolina and in my opinion sealant is the way to go. Welcome to Autopia and thanks for serving our country!

thanks guys... i think i have found what im looking for

What happened to all you guys that bought the new Flex giving some advice to our new family member. I don't have mine yet. As far as products, I'll agree what most have said.

I tend to think color has a lot to do with product choice. Also what you are trying to achieve. Help me Guys! Correct me too!

Ok since you want to be corrected. :o

"Also what you are trying to achieve." this is called a framented phrase within the english language or an incomplete sentence. The purpose of a sentence is to complete a thought. The above phrase however, is not a complete thought and therefore is not a sentence. :getdown

You have now been corrected :o
