best car movies??

Ronin is one of my favorites for intense car chases (although the plot of the movie has nothing to do with cars).

Check out this news story of a guy who re-built the Family Truckster, very cool!! In order to keep with board rules, just type www in front of the stuff below.:D

dailyherald.com/story/?id=356864

That picture of the family truckster that I posted above, is from the Belton Cruise last October. The guy lives in Independence, MO and he built a replica also! It's a pretty slick car. (It also has an LS1 Corvette motor!)

I've got to agree with most + here's a couple more:
- Bullett (Anyone notice Robert Duvall as the taxi driver?)
- Smokey and the Bandit (first one)
- Ronin (chase scene)
- American Graffiti
- To Live and Die in L.A. (1985) - chase scene
- The Seven Ups (chase scene)

Duel - That was one kick-azz Plymouth Valiant! Took on an 18 wheel Mack and WON! :Boxing:

Pearl Harbor - That one scene where all the pilots and the Movietone camera guy pile into that Ford (?) convertible and race to the smaller airfield, all while getting strafed by a Japanese Zero fighter. The convertible gets aerated with .50 caliber holes but keeps on running!

I don't think cars are built like that anymore, or at least not built like improbable Hollywood cars... Director

Bullitt
Le Mans
Gran Prix
Gone in 60 Seconds
Heart Like a Wheel

And of course... American Graffiti.

Yup - Bullit and Gran Prix in that order.

For the younger readers, if you haven't seen Bullit, rent the DVD, watch on a larger TV, turn the lights off and crank up the sound system during the...well, I won't spoil it. If you have a weak stomach, keep a barf bag in arms reach.

Oh, and get Gran Prix, too. Watch the same way. Make sure the sound system is good as you will appreciate the different sounds of the engines and the sounds bouncing off the walls during a race.

GEWB

*A Devil Possessed Car*

Hello/
This was a Devil possessed car[My Spelling sukks anymore/=O[...].It was a real eerie movie. The movie starts off in the Desert, where this *Car* appears to come out of the ground. It was Black. It would go on the roads and kill people in their cars.
I won't mention the title,But,I'm sure some people here have seen it.I've only seen it once which was many/many moons ago.Does anyone know the name of the movie? It looked like a Older Customized Lincoln,IMOPO.Nothin' that great to look at,but liked what happened at the End/:thumbup:Take Care
Regards/
Raymond
I liked:
*Two Lane Blacktop*
*Smokey & The Bandit*
*Vanishing Point* [Except at the End/:mad:] Why did they have
to kill him off? Stupid.
*American Pie* It was really cool except at the End.../Stop
I was Sad.

*;O]*

Yes...That's it...At the End,these two guys dug out this big hole w/a machine[IIRC],and lined the sides w/Dynamite.
They got the Cars' attention, and it went after them, not knowing about this hole. There was some kinda of ramp in front of it,
so when it hit the ramp and became airborn, and coming down to the hole, the guys hit the switch
and blew the sides and the car..Before it blew, though, remember the Horn?
It was like.BEEP... BEEP BEEP BEEP...BEEP.Sounded like an Air Horn.
Than the Black Cloud of smoke came from the hole in the form of Satan...
Yes...very eerie....

Raymond
