Behold! The power of AIO! (lots of pictures)

Thats always so cool to see that. Looks like i am going to have to start using my AIO again. I started getting a mysterious haze with AIO, not sure if it was haze caused by fine scratching or oilyness not getting wiped off. Thats why I stopped using it; however, I still think Klasse SG is garbage.

My first bottle of AIO arrived at my house today...can't wait to get home tonight..the black Benz is gonna get it!!

A little PI III MG, AIO,UPP

My dad has an 85 Corolla GT-S Hatchback that I was hoping to make my project car (hatchi-roku) and it looks 10x worse than that truck. Maybe I can get the old man to shell out the $ for a PC and I can detail it and learn how to use a PC. . .

tetz's response reminded me of a question I've been wanting to ask about AIO. Does anybody know the long term effects of using AIO? It seems like it must have some fairly heavy-duty chemicals in it to clean so well. Does that strength harm the paint over time?

Who has been using AIO for a long time? How has it worked out?

Jngr.

Great before and after pics. I ordered David's Klasse twins special last week and now I'm even more eager to try them out.

I'm assuming you used a finishing pad on your PC, right?

Again, good job!

Actually I used a Meguiar's purple pad with it.
You know, this just sunk in for me! You replied before saying you used the Megs red pad and I must've been half asleep or something because I just realized that this is their cutting pad. I take it then it still left a fine finish despite this? This is still very interesting. :)

BTW Nikon I already asked him what pad earlier on. ;)

Jngr, 4DSC,

Sorry about that:o . In my excitement I must have read through the posts too quickly and missed 4DSC's question on the pad type.

Wouldn't the Meq' red pad be too aggressive? When I’ve used the red pad with mild cleaners in the past I’ve noticed very small and slight half circle scratches (when viewed with a halogen light).

Nah. Actually, on damage like that I find that the red pad is just about right. Scrubbing off oxidation is a job and a half and using AIO with the pad I was using was a great combo. I need to get one of the CMA orange pads next. I'm really interested to see how well that one will work with AIO on damaged vehicles like that.

Well, this thread convinced me. I just ordered the Klasse package that BradB put together for us Autopians.

Nice Avatar, jng. ;)

;) Back at ya. Your's needed a little boogie in his step so I tweaked it a bit. I'm going to make a new one soon so feel free to snag mine if you want it. I'm just borrowing it from you anyway. :bigups

Ahh, Strongbad all over the place!

Anyways, great shine Jng.

Why do you use UPP rather than SG, besides the carnuba-like shine? I'm not happy with how tough it is to buff off SG, and I've been using Detailer's Pride Paint Sealant for a few months and like it more than SG...

Also, you're buffing by hand, yes? I just got a new shipment of microfibers from JT International and had thought about ordering a few MF bonnets for the PC, but figured I'd check around to see if other Autopians were using MF bonnets first.

I use UPP instead of SG just because it is a faster product to go on and buff off. SG would be nice but on a truck like that it was easier to just use UPP. It really needed more work than I was going to put into it. I would have liked to spend another 2 hours working on it but he just wanted the oxidation gone. The UPP was just a bonus for him. I use SG on the cars where its really going to make a difference and they are going to be bringing it back to me frequently so I can get 3 or 4 layers on it. If they just want a good sealant on then I use UPP for the speed factor.

I do AIO and UPP by PC. I buff off by hand though. I haven't gotten any MF bonnets yet but its next on my list when I order from CMA next.
