Beer Time

Tonight a bomber of Three Floyd's Alpha Klaus Xmas Porter, very nice. Forgot to mention last night I had a Westy 8 and a Bell's Expedition Stout.

wow...this is quite the thread of beverages you've sampled! impressive. i am not a big beer drinker...much prefer lighter beers over dark ones. tonight i'm going to enjoy the ice and snow outside by sipping on a Capital Island Wheat beer (local microbrew).

cheers!

i had a Bell's two hearted ale last night. this was the first of any Bell's beers for me. it was a good light ale, and very flavorable.

Two Hearted is an awesome IPA, I still have two bottles left from a trade.

a nice evening so far. my kids are otherwise occupied this evening, so i had dinner out with the wife. i'm settled in for a couple of hours with a dogfish head 90 min ipa and a good book. should be a quiet evening.

Picked up a six of Pete's Wicked and Pete's Strawberry Blonde -- the store I usually go to had a huge display of them for $2.95 a sixer. Apparently, they had a huge overstocking due to Christmastime.

Not something I'd usually get, but for the price, not bad.

last night was an otter creek brewing "copper ale". this one had only a very slight head, dark copper in color, and a so-so taste. on to something else.

tonight is another sierra nevada celebration ale.

got our first snowfall of the year in this portion of west virginia/virginia. i crossed mt. weather on route 7 tonight on my way home from work. there was still a layer of ice in all of the trees at the top of the mountain ..... totally beautiful.
