Beer Time

Why did I subscribe to this thread, I was up to 4 am pulling carpet, pulling 6 billion staples give or take a few thousand. Sign on, find out I have no beer, read about beer

Today with the wife 8 months pregnant and very much "Nesting", I was ripping apart electric sockets, to find someones "Cheat Wiring" where no switch is used.

Best of all it would have been a ceiling fan ( not even a supported braced box) over my unborn son's head:angry

It was over the twins of the previous owner:furious:

I found it when changing to a new ceiling fan, even though the other worked fine ( I have learned not to ask) it was hanging in a 4 inch box held in with (2) 1/2 inch screws, this was holding a $500 Casablanca fan the previous owner installed.. Again, up at 5AM, Not done yet and it wont be by 2 am.. What do I get a post about beers.

I HAVE NO BEER, my dog is despondent, he would always have a cap full, or two. He is an old man, hey who am I to judge. For the love of god will someone remind me to get some beer this weekend, Please? Maybe a Duvel or Petros if I can find it. Two licks and my little man is fighting with the sub-woofer.

Nice to see you back, but do have a beer next time you visit :hifive:

A quiet and somber night, with a French Abbey, St Duron De Sebourg. Its a blonde, fairly good beer.

Its been two years today since my Mom passed away, had dinner with Dad, had a few Santa Margarita Pinot's with an incredible meal. Man, when did life start being so complicated.......

Remember when it rained and the first thing that ran through your head was not, are the windows in the house open...

My third brew for the day, a New Belgium 2 Below Winter Ale, tasty, but have had way, way better ESBs, drinkable though.

Tonight a Beer Valley Brewing Company, Black Flag Imperial Stout, black in color, 11.5% ABV, malty, vanilla, big on toffee/caramel/chocolate, pretty tasty a definite sipper.

Yikes, 11.5% ABV thats some strong beer!

Second up a nice brew, 1st for me from this brewery, but definitely not the last. Having a De Dolle Extra Export Stout, quite different from an American Stout.

Tonight a tasty Saison from The Lost Abbey/Port Brewing Company, Red Barn Ale. If you can get anything from this brewery, DO IT!

Going to dinner tonite and looked at a menu online in advance. Surprisingly, the restaurant actually has a few beers that I've never tried but seem to get really good review/ratings....it is quite surprising to see some of these...most restaurants around here have very poor selections.

Here are the choices that caught my interest (all bottles):

Abita Amber

Xingu

Anchor Steam

Rogue Dead Guy Ale

Maredsous

Chimay (Red, White, and Blue)

Morimoto

Tennents

Sapporo

I'm strongly considering trying either the Anchor Steam or Chimay (blue or red) offerings. What do you guys think is a good choice?

Regards,

Mike
