Be honest, what movies make you cry

A whole lot of Schindler's List

When Tom Hanks died in Saving Private Ryan

In Mr. Holland's Opus when the curtain pulls back and he sees all his former students there, ready to play the symphony he has been working on for 20+ years

The same scene you mentioned from 'Private Ryan'.

'Field of Dreams' , when his father comes back to have a catch with him.

'Million Dollar Baby'....'nuff said.

And if 'Lassie' doesn't make you cry, you're a heartless cur !

I'm sure there are others , but I can't think of them now....I'm a little emotional at the moment.

A couple scenes from The Green Mile got to me. That "Persey" character makes me want to smack him with a big heavy Harbor Freight rotary! Why did he have to stomp on Dale's mouse? That son of a bi...

I dunno why but ET brings a tear to my eye. It only happened a year or two ago too when I was watching it again. Prior to that I didn't see the movie in years.

I'm sure more will come to mind...

One TV show that almost always makes me tear up (or sometimes actually cry) is Extreme Home Makeover. Although it's a good cry, 'cause I'm so happy for the well deserving people who get a second chance with an awesome house, I get emotional right along with them.

It must be nice to be Ty.

Ditto, plus the end of Philadelphia.

yeah its corney, but the one that ty did when they re-did the farm and farm house and gave them new fields and tractors, i got a little emotional.

The end of Terms of Endearment where the mom (Debra Winger) who has cancer and is in the hospital talks to her two sons about her not being around to experience them growing up.

Million Dollar Baby actually did make me tear , not like I cried though. And Notebook because thats what happend to my grandma.

Oh yeah the end of Pride of the Yankees when Lou Gehrig (played by Gary Cooper) gives his speech.

Also, in The Rookie, when Jim Morris (Dennis Quaid) tells his son he got called up to the majors.

Million Dollar Baby was pretty sad too but didn't get to me as emotionally as some other movie. Truly excellent film though, superb acting by all.

Yeah, those are good ones.

"My Dog Skip" also made me tear up. My dog was going through the same thing with arthritis.

"Dances with Wolves" - I don't really even remember why. The last time I saw it was when I was like 9 years old. I think some of Kevin Costner's indian buddies died, or something happened to the wolf :nixweiss .

"Big Fish".. didn't cry, but played with my emotions. Son wouldn't believe dad and it turns out in the end he pretty much spoke the truth.

GONE IN 60 SECONDS (the crappy nic cage version not the 1974 original) --- when he trashes the '67 Mustang Shelby GT500 "Eleanor"
