Bad News For Us

I think this is rediculous as well. there are many, many worse things being done to our environment than some soap running into the storm drains.



I do, however, have to clear up the misconception that our sewers are the same as storm drains. Waste water that comes from our inside dishwater goes flows into the sewer, which in turn is directed to a processing plant.



All water from outside: Gutters, car washing, sprinklers go into storm drains, which generally open up somewhere into the environment... meaning they don't go to a water plant to be "cleaned." This is how I understand it, at least.



So I can see why the EPA doesn't want chemicals to be dumped into the storm drains.
