while I toyed with the idea of going to klasse (from medallion), I was torn between sticking with meguiar's (just switching to #20) and going to the zaino system.

well, after having the opportunity to speak with sal zaino this morning, I think I'm finally convinced. I'll be getting in on the zaino group buy on aBay. :)

as for the other zaino products like the leather cleaner and the glass cleaner, I'll stick with what I'm using now (Lexol on the leather and Stoners on the glass).

thanks for all of the information gang.

BTW, sal zaino mentioned this board in our conversation. hmmm... I have a fealing he lurks here.

I think people who call him with questions sometimes refer to this board. PLease post a review after you tried the products you purchased!!!

Good luck!

I think you'll really like Zaino, especially how easy it is to apply and remove. Not to mention the shine... :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

Sal is a geat guy, his products are first class and customer service second to none! :up

I used Medallion Paint Protection myself in the past and was generally satisfied. But, on my car, Zaino definitely brought out better shine, depth, and clarity.

You won't regret it. Unless you don't like to attract attention.

A fellow detailing friend at work (she's not quite at an Autopian-like obsession level yet, but she's close) saw my car yesterday in the garage at work after I gave it a full Z treatment. She said "Your car looks absolutely awsome! It's amazing! You have got to help me make my car look like that." She has a black Jetta. I told her I'd be happy to help.

What group buy? Do I smell Zaino for cheap?

In Abay there is a link to a group buy from another forum.

You get one free wash after buying 4 items from Zaino and you deal with Z direct.

Zaino, Klasse, Meguiar's, Blackfire all make a car look great, but Zaino really stands out at night, especially on a dark car. It gives a glow that I never got with anything else.

My silver car used to glow in the dark at night. The longer and more you use zaino on your car, the more you see these differences. It's much more than buffing off and evaluating the shine under one light source. The longer it is on the car....the more you seem to like it...especially after a Z7 wash!

Trust me, I was the skeptic of all skeptics about zaino. I have been hearing about zaino for the past 2 years and I decided to try it and let me tell you, once you go zaino, you will NEVER go back to anything else. I get constant stares all the time on my "ack". I have a nighthawk black pearl TL and the shine and protection is like no other. I also use on my wheels and my glass.

One word: AWESOME!!!

:xyxthumbs

Yes, just do it the same way you would to your paint, except I would only use Z-2. I've tried Z-5 on my windshield and my wipers would clatter after driving in the rain for about 30 minutes. I'm just guessing, but I think it's the swirl-filling ingredients of Z-5 that causes it.

I used Z2 and Liquid Glass on my windshield with so...so results. After using Aquapel, I would never recommend anything else on the windshield. The others are fine for the side and rear windows but Aquapel performs much better on the front windshield. Absolutely no wiper chatter and I think it actually makes them work more smoothly if you need to use them at all. I think it lasts much longer as well....
