Applying UPP?

The only thing in my arsenal that I think may work under UPP is VM but I think it has fillers in it?

Would I better off going to the auto store and buying some meguiars paint cleaner (2nd step in their 3 step system).

TIA, Steve

cheapshot-a good polish and UPP should make that van look really good.

I use Armor All on tires, applied with an Eagle tire swipe.

I have had a bottle sitting around, and plan to do my sisters Honda Odyssey. I have a few questions:

Will UPP bond to AIO?

Thanks

Man you got too many products I thought this was your list.

Paint Sealant:

--WolfGang Deep Gloss PAint Sealnt--AFTER READING YOUR ARTICLE, GOTTA TRY.

--Poorboy's EX-P---VERY CRISP CLEAR GLOSSY REFLECTIONS!

--Poorboy's EX---SOON TO ORDER PB's KIT

I'm curious if you had to pick a favorite which one would it be?

I'd bet AIO would work under any sealant.

I feel like the queen of UPP because I have touted it so much as of late. I love the stuff I do not think that there is an easier product to apply, remove, and maintain. Today I topped it with Nattys and I regret it because it did loose slickness but its ok winter is here my car is goin to look like crap for the next 5 months anyways.

Manitowoc is right on Lake Michigan about 30 miles SE of Green Bay.

I'd guess the Twin Cities would be about 200 miles. I'm transferring to UW-Stevens Point next summer so I'll be about 100 miles from the TC then.

What are you majoring in?

Burlyq,

Thats not my list. Thats someone else's list from another post. I was just listing what products we both had, what I think about them, and a few that I would like to try. The only sealants I have are: NXT, SG, EXP, UPP. It's hard to say which I like best, because I have not used them enough, But I have noticed nice result with all of them, except UPP because I have not tried it yet. I have used SG on my white car for awhile now, and really like the results, especially after adding S100. The most I have done on my car was SGx3/S100. (could not believe I actually got my car this reflective and shiny as a beginner) I currently have 3 coats SG on my car with no wax and I'm looking to do SGx4/S100 or SGx4/#16 before winter.

I just gave in...I applied another coat of UPP to my car. I couldn't stand knowing that the ultimate slickness was hidden beneath that coat of #16.

That makes it AIO + UPPx2 + #16 + UPP.

IDK= I don't know.

Does UPP have any cleaners in it that would take away from the protective qualities of said AIO underneath of it?

What exactly is UPP? Acrylic? Carnuba based? Polymer?

From the UPP bottle:

4* UPP uses the latest polymer technology. This unique formula consists of blending modified polymers with create a cross-linking bond. This process produces a durable protection that lasts wash after wash.

It also says it contains refined mineral spirits? I don't know what they mean by refined, but I would thing mineral spirits would do some cleaning. :nixweiss I wouldn't think UPP would do well over a carnauba.

I have not used it, But I'm thinking that it may be a super light cleaner that may remove a tad of product under it. But when being layered it does not. Does this make any sense? Just a though.

I'm not sure what refined mineral spirits means either. I'm just happy that my paint is super-slick again. If the #16 is gone, oh well. I'll be applying UPP again after Christmas.

It might look good initially but I think you'll run into bonding problems...:nono
