another polish

i have my 7424, and last october i used #83 with a cutting pad, #9 with a medium pad, and then followed with nxt on a polishing pad (and then #16 later). i can see a few swirls in my dark blue car again and want to revitalize the finish. i have #83, #9, and menzerna IP that i can use (although obviously i won't use them all) as abrasives.



i am thinking to use a polishing pad and menzerna, and then following up with nxt/16, but i've been advised to do #83 with the polishing pad as well. i just want to do what looks best and what will keep the swirls away for another good paint year let me know your opinions! thanks. and btw, the swirls now are not that bad, just pretty slight (visible, too).

If your swirls aren't that bad ( not like they were the last time ) you could just use the IP with a polishing pad . Then just finish with NXT & #16

yeah, that's what i was thinking. IP is a better choice than the meguiar's stuff? should i go 2 coats of nxt and 2 coats of 16, or will one of each suffice?

I would guess the #9 hid the swirls and did not remove them

What about using the Menzerna Final Polish II after using #9? Then just use your favorite sealant or carnuba.

so i'm using the IP on a finishing pad and it seems to be leaving a haze. any guesses as to why or how to remedy this?
