Android or iPhone?

I've doing some reading over the last few days on 4G. Sprint thru Clear (they own 51% of clear) has 4G right now in some of the major cities. Atlanta is one of the cities, but it does not extend down to my area.

Since the Sprint Evo is not out till mid June (rumored) A wireless card/adapter for your laptop or a wireless home modem is the only way to get 4G service right now.

From what I also read, the 4G coverage is either not that good or they are having issues with the wireless cards. If its working properly 4G should give you 10-12mb downloads. 3G right now is 1.5mb downloads.

My good friend started working with ATT again as a networking consultant. As far as he knows, nothing is in the works for a release of 4G from ATT in the immediate future. Verizon is working on 4G but there is no release date yet.

I'm not eligable for a new phone from Sprint till Dec of this year. So by then I will know if its worth it to get the Evo. Maybe they will have the 4G running solid by then.

I have a sister in law at Sprint and a very good buddy there as well and I plan on getting the EVO immediately upon release. Right now it sounds like June 6th is the release date, hopefully the 4G switch is flipped then too.

The phone looks crazy and with the 4G and tethering, or Sprint's mobile hotspot, I plan on dropping my home phone and my cable internet at home as well. Sprint's service is great and their plans are the best on the market, by far.

I had a blackberry curve then I opted for the all famous Iphone. Recently my iphone took a shiit you could say and I was in the market. I went to AT&T who is my provider, I was gonna upgrade to another I phone. Upon taking to the sales rep he told me about the motorola Backflip that works on googles Droid network. I must admit the phone is tough. I can honestly say after 3 days so far the droid network kills the apple setup. You can run multiple apps. Internet surfing is better then the Iphone. Droid network all the way. Plus the backflip has a touch pad mouse. I don't miss my iphone at all. Kinda funny I was a huge fan of it two.

Iphone 3G S here, I have to say I am a phone geek and usually have to end up terminating my contracts just to get something new, had a blackberry before this and although it was an excellent phone it left a lot to be desired in the entertainment area.

I bought my 3G S last June and luckily have had no issues nor have I once felt the urge to look for a new phone in that time.

I think up until the droid based stuff came out Iphone was on its own in the market.. I am still happy with it and would look to a new Iphone coming in a few months.

I also cant be without the built in ipod as its nice to have all my music well organized with me everywhere.
