And in this corner: CS vs HM

OK..as a die hard CS user, I am intrigued when so many verterans give the HM a great review, so it's time to do the test. I received the HM today.

This is my DD 13 accord in great shape (naturally) the surface has had a polish of Menzena 4500 a few moths ago, and CS since then. It is immaculate paint.

So I did a waterless wash and TWO wipes with a heavy ISP 70/30 mix.

one coat on each side , in the overhead Florida brght sun to put it under extreme conditions. So far not much difference, both look perfect. I will let it cure for a few hours and continue to post here weekly. Is there any other situations I can produce that will be a better test of these two great products? - let me know, I'll try it!

hey glen e.

glad you got to finally try it. easy huh? HM like HYDRO WAX AS U DRY, will give more gloss after a few hours.

just got done with some rain here. here is a pic. of HM at work. top of front fender....

as far as quanity, 1oz was all it took to do the xterra.

yes - I like it....I'm evaluating the economy though, I just stripped the whole car and applied it to the entire surface (except the test above) Using it sparingly - 1 spritz per panel - I think I am using more of it than crystal seal as the spray nozzle is bigger....(yes i realize bottle is bigger) ...I also think you leave more on the MF, maybe a better delivery method, like an opti-coat applicator?....more to come...

def some gloss for very little work:

Looks good, I'm looking to upgrade from the V7 that I am currently using at these two are at the top of my list of options.

Her's a weird one - it's 10:45 and humid here in Fla..the CS side is holding humidity, the HM side is not:

Very intresting test! I'm on the WOWA train now since using WDGLS this past week. The ease of use for the results that can be acquired is truly amazing. That humidity "issue" is very intriguing.

Can you elaborate on what the WDGLS is? :inspector:

Glen,

Just received my Hydro Max two days ago.. Looking forward to trying it out. Would you see it as a replacement for Crystal Seal, at this point?
