Amazing Roll-Off

Mr. Clean

The Man Who Knows The Man
Not so amazing for me. I feel that I've given it a fair shake but I am just simply not wowed. I've been using it 1:1 which is stronger than my usual 1:4 for APCs on tires and wheel wells. I tried it again tonight on my personal truck tires. I went over them twice and still had some sidewall browning. I finally sprayed them down with PB's PnB, scrubbed, rinsed and called it a night as I was really pressed for time. These tires are relatively new BFGoodrich Long Trail T/As with only @18k+ miles. They weren't really that dirty other than the fronts which had Ford truck brake dust. But they had been previously cleaned about a month ago and treated with BnB at that time also.

IMO cleaners are not really judged subjectively like a wax sealant where the appearance qualities or the durability is open for debate. A cleaner either cleans or it doesn't. ARO does clean, but not amazingly well.

I picked my bottle up at a local marine supply store and the employee that helped me indicated that he got very positive responses back on boat owners who use it on their decks and canopies cleaning off spider residues. Perhaps it just isn't well suited for rubber???

Amazing roll off works good on boats.
I have always used in mixed 50/50 with water seeing as it is water activated and it has always cleaned well for me but I have only used it on boats.

Too bad. I have a bottle of ARO to try but this weekend Power Clean at full strength removed the browning on my tires that Meg's 1:4, Majestic Solutions, and Duragloss APC could not do as well as other cleaning dressings.

The other APC's had a brown foam when I scrubbed the tires but Optimum just seemed to stay clear.

When I rinsed it, the brown appeared in the rinse and tires were cleaner than they have been. OPC seems "safer" than Meg's and other APC's at full strength but it is more from smell/feel, etc.

MC if you haven't already done so, give PB's APC a try. One of the keys to using that stuff is if you give it some dwell time, it will usually amaze. I recently had a bunch of road tar on the rocker panel of my car which all the elbow grease I could give it wouldn't get it off. So I sprayed APC on it and took a 15 minute break. When we came back the road tar was gone!!

For the money, best emulsifier I've seen:bigups

Coastal Eddie, I did based largely on your recommendation. :D I modified your your shot of APC in the foam gun, replacing it with Bug Squash, and have made that recommendation several times, each time (IIRC - if not intended to) giving you credit for the idea.

I pick up AM's 777 locally. Far more cost effective and in terms of performance I can't tell the difference.

Nah I don't need any credit - but ty.

If AM's is that much cheaper, and you can't tell the difference, hell I'll check it out..............
