When I watch videos like this, I figure I probably am.

‪Paint Overspray Removal International Services " ranked # 1 industrial paint specialist"‬‏ - YouTube

There are reasons I never let another human touch my vehicles. I don't care if you own a shop and have white coveralls, it doesn't mean you've got a damn clue.

Skip to 4:10 for the real story about the or-bit-tal that will take out swirls, and scuff marks, with a wax. I'd like to see this finish after an IPA wipe down...

Edit: Oh good, he adds at 9:00 or so that his clay lube is water and dish soap. The wax that he's "claying through" really appreciates that.

The thing that really scares me is say you got in an accident and your car simply has to go to a body shop. Chances are guys like this are considered the best techs and there's several stories like that told here recently and in the past :scared:

That's a lot of damn overspray..haha, is that common? Holy ****.

Would clay get all caked with paint if attempted to remove with it?

So asides using the carbon razor, what would be the more appropriate method?

This guys videos simply amazing me, how does he receive any correction/clarity from moving every step so fast?!?

I am literally at a loss for words on this guy. Granted I hate knocking other people for lack of knowledge, but this dude needs someone to reach out to him and show him the right way to do this stuff. As i remember someone posting before, its not rocket science, its just polishing paint.

He's only ever dealing with vehicles that have immaculate finishes under the overspray, so that if he does (miraculously) manage to remove the overspray without scratching the paint he's left with a nice shine. His polishing and buffing isn't doing a thing, the finish is already there, and he's filling all of his own scratches with leveling wax.

At about 10:25 you can hear him bounce the buffer off of the mirror. Twice.

:nervous:

He appears to lean on the front fender pretty good when doing the hood and doesn't seem to care about the extension cord banging off the doors either........

:faint:

Thanks for emailing this to me Rasky; a real good laugh. Even my g/f laughed at some of the stuff. I like towards the end when he states that you're polishing the paint by claying through it or something crazy along those lines.

As long as you remember to clay THROUGH the wax, you'll be ok.:thumb:
