Am I the best detailer in the world?

I know I'm already going to hell for all the crap I've done/said in the past so I have no issue with bashing this guy because holy hell does this guy talk like a creep. And I know, YOU know what I'm talking about :nervous:

Also why would you wax the car than clay it? Waste product much?

Anyone ever try this bladding technique to see if it works? If I ever had to do an overspray removal that bad I'd certainly try it if nothing else was working.

Are you trying to tell me that you can't use Auto Magic BC-2 with wool pad as a 1 step? LOL

And IIRC, he posted here not too long ago. So I guess that makes him an Autopian?!?!?!

Ah...NO. Guilty by association.

Good Ol'e Auto Magic BC-2, that's the good stuff! I tell all my clients that you put a fresh coat of wax, then you clay through it. See, you don't want paint on paint connection, instead the wax acts as a buffer!

Has anyone used Auto magic bc-2? I want to try it now, and clay through it :)

And all this time I wondered why it takes me 6 or more hrs. to correct a car with my DA.

Thanks to these videos, I should be able to do it in 9 minutes.:)

Honestly, it's not really the bladding that freaks me out about him, it's all the other crap he does. I do have to wonder how how bad that blade messes up the paint though. I've used a blade to remove paint runs and have used it to take off a few white road paint globs before.....but not a whole panel, let alone a whole car! One small oops and your through the paint in no time. I'd love to see one of his cars up close! Some of those curved areas would not work too well with a flat blade.

I used AM and BC-2 exclusively for years. Great product, but not for any sort of substantial correct and even though it works great with wool, it's more made for finishing. Fil, Fill, Filll!

Rasky - I'd love to see his afters too! The blade has to dull substantially on thick overspray'd panel the size of that hood. It must be marring the paint to some degree? And yes, I'd used razor blades for road paint too, but it always seems to leave marks. I wonder if the pre-wax of the surface reduces this? The way this guy quicky and effeciently moves across the panel tells me he's done alot of this over the years.

Yeah, his comfort level with that blade is very apparent! LOL....I bet he can cut up a line like no other! :D

This one is pretty impressive though....I'm assuming he used some sort of solvent, but for it not to take off the pin stripping too is what impressed me the most.

I have used a razor blade on glass, more times than i can count. A few times on yellow road paint or removing rubber after some good burnouts in the mustang. these were very small areas though. I know of a few body shops also that will remove overspray with a razor blade. It can and will cuase damage very quickly. The same shop will also remove dead paint off old cars going to get resprayed.

I would imagine this guy is causing some marring. He is very confident in his skills so probablly years of blading the cars. Around the edges or curved panels has to be very dificult, the wrong angle, pressure so on, it will dig right into the paint. I would think that blading with the wax on would work as a lubricant.

I agree with Rasky, The blade can be harsh to watch, but everything else this guy does is the problem. leaning on cars, dirty shop rags. Some of his vides the clay is coverd in black stuff. I think the topper is his lack of knowledge and passing it off as he is the smartest man in the worl.

If you watch closley he does end up removing some notiable pinstriping, But it was done with the wool pad and buffer. I wonder if he sweet talks his woman the way he does to the truck. Its kinda creepy.

I noticed he's holding the clay like a block and just going over the entire car with it like that. If he kneaded the clay even once in that video, I must have missed it.

Using a razor blade or for his part a glass scraper is not the issue for me, its his attitude and his techniques that's the problem.

He does flip the clay. The way its shaped is like a turd but he does go from one side to the other. He doesn't however knead the clay.

Creepy narrating aside, the blade skill seems quite evolved. Is there a specific blade for this task or is it just like the one used on ceramic stoves etc.

My proposal would be to create a blade the size of a silicon water blade. An efficient and time saving tool.
