I'm new at this machine polishing. I have a PC 7336SP that I used to apply Zaino Z2 with a Griots orange polish pad at about a 2 setting. The Zaino seemed to go on very evenly and the PC saved a lot of arm strain, although I used more Zaino than I figured I would. Nevertheless, I was very happy with how this part of the process worked.
My trouble was with removing the Zaino. It was a warm day and I use the accelerant ZFX, so I know the Zaino was dry after 1/2 hour. I used a microfiber bonnet on the PC to remove the Zaino. For the most part, this worked very well, however there are spots where it seems the Zaino was thicker that the microfiber bonnet did not remove the Zaino, no matter how long I moved the PC over the spot. I did not want to heat up the paint, so I was not overzealous with the amount of time or the pressure I put on the PC. I even tried increasing the speed of the PC, going as high as 4 or 4.5. This helped a bit, but there were spots of Zaino I still had to buff off by hand.
Is this typical, or am I doing something wrong. All advice is appreciated!
