This is something I started thinking about today and really couldn't come up with an answer.
After you polish the paint to the best of your capabilities, you then do the the final prep of your choice relative to cleaners/sealants, waxes, whatever.
In my case sealants will be Klasse AIO/SG.
Carnuba topper of something.
With these sealants, why would you ever have to go back to a polishing compound/swirl remover/whatever (barring accidents). Wouldn't the synthetic sealants protect the finish from swirls/webs/whatever or do the sealants themselves actually start to decay or start showing signs of weather/road contamination?
How much protection can realistically be expected from a Carnuba wax topper? Wouldn't it pick up a great deal of the abuse before the elements/weather could attack the sealants?
I hope you get my drift, if not, don't hesitate to ask for a clarification. I'm just trying to figure the whole thing out.
