According to this guy Wax can damage your paint.

lalaland,

Hello......as 2wheelsx2 pointed out I was speaking of waxes in general. Polymers, as you both noted, require a bit more bonding time. :)

I think David should add that into the User Agreement. :lol And then we can each keep track of how many converts we have brought into the light! :D

You have to notice that he works for a car dealership. Its common knowledge that anything your told at a dealership is absolute crap.

I think the only useful and true info there is no. 3 "Apply wax in the shade while the panels are cool." Thats true for most waxes although there are a few exceptions I'm sure. He was on to something with the QD comment until he drifted off into cherry land.

And since when did ArmourAll grow legs and start jumping?

I can't compete with you guys. But, my entire car, not just the paint, breathes - it's alive! It's alive! And, the supercharger blows! __________________ [email protected]
forrest:

The battery is probably hooked up backwards! Your lights are gonna cast shadows and the horn'll suck, too.

You may even have waxy buildup!!:shocked

Yep I know, that's why I said "stuff" and not "wax". Didn't mean you to think I was disagreeing with you, your post is 100% correct.

Don't talk about my internet that way! I created it!!! It too lives and brethes and suffers from wax build up!! Just like my oranges apples and bananas!

OH and kiwis...i like kiwis.

*snikker*

He actually contradicts himself. On one hand he says that waxing your car seals it so that it can't "breathe" which I assume means oxygen doesn't get to the paint. Then on the other hand he says that wax causes oxidation, which would mean oxygen is getting to the paint.
