'95 Pathfinder with Zaino!

hirosh:

Yeah gloss went right up. It's no UPP, but definately respectable.

Zaino = Gloss! Liz pulled up yesterday when my friend and I were QD'ing and we were like "Good god that's glossy". We will see after a couple layers. :)

nice work.. as always i personally would have chosen something other than zaino, but as strictly a durable sealant, you can't go wrong

It's all in the Prep. Good Prep will allow all LSP to look fantastic. That's is where GSRstilez seems to excel. This is what makes Zaino so good. It has a great depth, reflectivity and wetness. Add in Zaino's durability in combo with a good prep produces an extremely hard finish appearance to beat.

Great job GSRstilez. :bow

Thanks everyone.

I will get another coat on and go take pics in the sun. I was really impressed with it in the sun.

Give it another couple of days though. I am pretty busy :)

That Pathfinder always looks great when you post! I just got my new Z2 Pro today and I'm very anxious to get to work on my roommate's badly neglected white Protege. Expect a small review on Wednesday, but not one that will come close to competing with your work (this is a freebie and a worst-case scenario at that).

Like ZaneO, I'm also curious about your impressions of the slickness after a few months--I've been delighted with both Z2 and Z5 so far on the Accord.

Great job sean. My observation of the pictures, and it could purely be the images, is that the hood is less deep, less reflective and less liquid looking than the sides of the car?

Zane: 20* and washed for the first time in about 3 weeks, yesterday! I didn't even wash it myself (drivethru). You start to lose the fun in it when it's so far below freezing. I can even note on the beading, but the color looks great. Like I noted, I haven't seen the blue look this good in a while.

If I get a little time this week, I will S+W it, then snatch a few pics for this thread.

I understand the weather thing; it's really hard this time of year. Just curious to follow the Zaino newbies' (you, Scott, Mike, etc.) results.

I was at my brother's yesterday and his van was beading like crazy! It was filthy since it has been raining on and off (mostly on) since Thursday but the beads were still small and tight. :up

I've noticed this, too. My car was *white* from the last time I was in DC (8" of snow with the requisite chemicals) and the hood and trunk were wearing #16 beads from my 2 month old Z2:up

Washed it yesterday with NXT wash. To my surprise, DOA! Absolutely no surface tension whatsoever on the hood (Duragloss) or the side of the car (Zaino Z5). I tried different spray patterns and pressures, but could only get pooling on the surface. This thing really battled the elements hardcore and has only receieved a few washes since 3 months ago when applied.

I guess I should have done a Z2 topper.

Still looks good though :)

Hmm...could have been the remaining surface elements preventing the surface tension. You may have different results with a "cleaner" wash.

doesn't the NXT wash kinda encourages sheeting? maybe that's what was happening?

sean, how about slickness? still good?

What I meant by "cleaner" wash was washing the car when there isn't so much salt, dirt, etc. on the car. I have always noticed that effects the washing.

Reid: I haven't really noticed that with NXT. Slickness it toast.

Zane: I'll give it another shot next time I get a chance to wash it and report back.

Sean-he means now that the paint is clean, it may start beading again once it rains.

Sure still has that Zaino hyper reflection look. :)
