Interesting write up here given the horsepower listed. I can't imagine that Chevrolet would allow the Camaro to leap frog the Corvette as the BIG DADDY. If that's the case and it may not be, what is the Corvette going to be coming out with?

Wow impressive numbers if they turn out to be true. I'd be curious to compare the corvette to the camaro on a track. I always thought of camaros as more of a drag car while corvettes are built more for the track

They've crossed so much engineering and components from Camaro and Corvette, I don't doubt it. Although I don't necessarily completely believe it either.

What I will say is that GM has done an AMAZING job for both the Corvette and Camaro Enthusiasts. They have made the best Camaro they can and the best Corvette they can and the let the chips fall where they are. They don't seem to care about losing customers to cross-shopping the Camaro and Corvette, and ultimately the public wins in that scenario, because whether buying a Corvette or Camaro, you can get the meanest version of whichever you want. What a time to be alive. The 2000s were chock full of boring cars; the 2010s are shaping up to be an amazing decade for car enthusiasts everywhere. I mean, even Mclaren returned with the F1 Successor! And that's saying something!

It appears that this über-Camaro will offer an automatic transmission, as Chevrolet brought in extra help from Allison Performance Research & Integration Logistics, a division that works closely with the Formula Optimization & Outright Lap Sector teams to test cars on the track and improve lap times. Initial testing at the Nürburgring is rumored to have shown a best time of 7:32.185. Stick-shift fans will have options as well, with the Corvette’s seven-speed Tremec TR-6070 a definite, although we’ve even heard rumors of an eight-speed manual. Who cares, those extra gears are just for fuel mileage anyway. We’d take this thing with a three-on-the-tree it sounds so good! Oh, speaking of sound, the Camaro rights a wrong in the Corvette in that it automatically defaults to the loudest, most raucous exhaust setting on start-up. If you want to make your neighbors happy, you’ll have to make a custom sissy setting that keeps the flapper valve closed.

I am always suspect now one my other Hobbies is home theater and every year they do an April fools article about some new amazing outrageous speaker or sound bar or headphones that are as good as something costing 100 times as much. The are always made by Lipra Labs, Lipra is (APRIL) MTF got me the first year searching for there website looking on forums people talking about it all over the theater forums where to find them how to order them. Felt just like Charlie Brown.
