2016/17 NFL thread

I just can`t get into College football. I`ll watch it and enjoy it if I have nothing else going on (which is rare on a Saturday), but I don`t have any attachment to any college, so it`s hard to really be a fan
 
I`ve never been able to sustain any interest in college sports at all. Growing up, I went to a lot of Marshall football games, and even in the glory years with Pennington in Moss it was a lot of fun but I never really much cared at the end of the day.
 
Gonna meet my kid and watch the Skins tonight (my fav team)

If they take a knee, I`ll be done with the nfl till they fix the "problem" (see, I let em know how I feel with my $$$)

Godell is the worst commissioner in all of sports. A trained monkey could do his job better than him.
 
Raiders did appear to have improved, except the secondary... they got torched! Got to get that fixed if they want to do anything in the postseason.
 
Pats with a surprise win and Garoppolo (wow that looks weird spelled out) looked pretty darn good. If he puts another 3 very good dames together do you trade him for some nce picks or do you try hold onto him in case Brady finally starts to look and play his age.
 
Last night wasn`t much of a surprise to me. Jimmy G was high on draft expert radars from the beginning. He got drafted into the perfect situation and showed promise from the start. Last night shouldn`t have shocked anyone. Judging by AZ`s GM`s comments today, it caught the Cardinals by surprise, and that`s pretty embarrassing.
 
That was absolutely the worst national anthem ever. Everyone else sings it, and that girl plays it on a violin? What an embarrassment.
 
My Falcons dropped the opener to Tampa Bay. It`s going to be a long season. Julio Jones didn`t figure into the game much except as a decoy. The defense was atrocious and the offensive line was, well, offensive. Looks like another 7 win season.

Glad to see some of you that like NFL football! Around here (in my laziest southern twang) everyone is college football this and that. Don`t get me wrong, I love college football and my Auburn Tigers, but I just find it hard to consistently have a good college game to watch every weekend. Some are just flat out boring. I for one love NFL football and can expect being "wow`d" on a Sunday.

I`m more college football than pros but the young Cowboys backfield has me excited.

Me too buddy. I haven`t decided if I am going to go or not yet. Kind of hard to go to a night game with a pregnant wife. She was a trooper for the Auburn/Clemson game. We didn`t get home until 2 am and she didn`t complain one bit! Lol

We were debating which road-trip games we wanted to make this year, it was between Auburn and South Carolina (ended up being neither) but I like to travel for one game each year. We did Vandy last year because who can say no to Nashville?

I think it`ll end up being a pretty close game but you probably ought to give your wife a pass!

Looks like another long season in store for us indeed :( Been a Falcons fan since birth - We need to get rid of Dimit-awful and Shanahan(terrible offensive play-calling/scheme - If I can predict our play 80% of the time I know that the actual defensive players on the other side know what`s coming)
 
Does anyone actually thin Jeff Fischer is going to make it through the end of the season? Terrible showing last noght and his teams have underacheived for quite a while. Hes a career 8-8 guy. Thats not gonna get people in LA behind heir new team.
