2016/17 NFL thread

Thoroughly enjoying the completely dejected look on the other team`s offenses towards the end of the games so far this year.....

It doesn`t surprise me that rating are down. Football is going out of its way to attract new viewers (female) while forgetting about their core demographic (male). I watched a panel show on ESPN that was made up of four females, for a minute I thought I had turned on The View! This combined with the players political views becoming more important than the game itself means big trouble for the NFL. Might be good for the true fan in the long run with lower ticket prices, hey I can dream.
 
I can see ratings dropping for the NFL. Alternate forms of entertainment, Spoiled multi millionaire dollar players, spoiled multi billion dollar owners, Rodger Goddel using media to smear players and move public opinion to back his inconsistent punishments causing people to dislike the players and distrust the league, To many commercials and product placements and every single thing being brought to by or sponsored by blah blah blah, Near constant fiddling with the rules most to get more offense, Referees who seem lost, Fantasy football causing people to be player fans not team fans people watch teams gamblers track players.............................................. many more

I used be a baseball and Hockey fan but over last few years they have lost me. Unless my team is in the playoffs with a good chance I wont waste my time. They have changed the games into entertainment and like tv or movies I dont waste time watching bad acting and I wont watch bad playing.
 
The constant messing with the rules is a lot of it. Instant replay and replay review are hurting the game. People expect perfect officiating since we can slow everything down and watch in hi res. They accept human error in missed blocks, overthrows and drops but not in officiating. So, we just keep changing rules to try to overcome human error. It won`t work, and it just gets dumber every year.

Damn good point. You could get a holding call on every play too, just part of the game. I love baseball too, but the replay take forever. Now they want to monkey with the game to speed it up. Can`t have it both ways. Got to take the good with the bad. Unless it is against my team. Lol
 
The Falcons may be for real! Beat the 4-0 Broncos today. Next Seattle at Seattle. I`ll be a believer if we beat the Seahawks.
 
Welp.....had one hell of a weekend. My wife planned a trip to Minnesota for my birthday which included going to the Vikings game. That stadium is out of this world. The game was awesome and I loved taking my kiddos, especially my son.

And the inside is just as amazing. Not a bad seat in the house, good leg room in the seats, food is crazy expensive but at least really good, and most importantly.....loud as hell. Love how much natural light shines in the place:

One of the coolest parts of the game is their intro. They have this dragon that they run out under that shoots flames out as they come out while their blowin the horn.....awesome:

The Falcons are for real! We get Green Bay in our house next weekend. It ought to be a great game. Rodgers and Ryan are both at the top of their games. I need some positivity going into 2017!
 
Me and Dad are heading to the Georgia Dome next weekend! Tickets are stupid expensive but it`s not often you get to go to a game like this

I might be there, looking for tickets now :D will be a long weekend as I`d have to head up straight after Mobile-tech
