Whew! Its been a long day! I took the Accord to the car wash and did a bucket wash with my Pinnacle shampoo. Then I applied the PPCL just to help with the small swirls and other things. I figured it would also help get whatever was left from the Klasse I applied last year. Then I clayed the whole thing. I'm so proud of myself. I didn't drop that clay bar once. <grin> Then I applied Blackfire. One coat of each bottle. Just to finish it off, I applied a layer of Souveran. This car looks really good now. I have a good before and after Blackfire picture. There isn't a whole lot of difference in relection in the picture, but there is definatly a difference in color. The Blackfire really darkens the look. Very nice. The car is a light champange color. Sort of a goldish slivery color. It has a good clear coat on it and the Blackfire and Souveran just bring out the depth.

Its a hard color to really photograph well. As you know, things always look better in person. The body lines glow nicely though I think.

I think that last one really looks good. You can see the "wet" look in it. I'm still really loving Blackfire. We'll see if I have the same dust problem that I had with the Integra.
 
Glad everything worked well for you, especially the claying. The BF really does give a wet look, or maybe that's the Souveran... Looks like it turned out beautifully, great work!

That last picture is actually pre-Souveran. I applied that when I got home. I accidently put Paste Glaz in the car instead of Souveran. The Souveran sort of takes away from the wet look but it leaves the glow and depth. All in all I would say that it looks pretty good. Nothing fancy like a Bimmer or anything but it works for Jennifer. :)

And I'm sure it looks better than 99% of the Accords out there. That's one of those cars that people treat like an appliance.

I was cheap on the tires. Since winter ain't quite over here I decided to just use some good old fashioned tire foam. I used Greased Lightning on them before I washed it and that took care of all the grime. I can't even remember what tire foam I used. I think it was that 2001 stuff or something. :nixweiss I was expecting it to rain today so I figured there wasn't much point in spending too much time on them. Getting it clayed and Blackfired was my main goal. Its smooth as glass. My Acura isn't that smooth! :D
 
A customer sought me out from Fresno(About 180 miles away from me in the Bay Area) after Angelo from TID/PAC and Phil @ DD told him about my service so a thank you to both of you gentlemen.

A particular client who wanted his already very nice car to be refined to a higher level, he wanted the clearfilm removed safely and the car to have the light marring corrected in a few spots so basically make the car look as if it had just rolled off the line @ Genral Motors in Bowling Green.

After a thorough wash/Decon I set about to remove some dried up wax left behind on the trim.

Another issue was the drivers door jamb/threshold it was damaged during service and had to be re-sprayed, but the shop left sand scratches and compound everywhere along with overspray on the exterior side of the door.

The finish overall was in pretty good shape except for clusters of marring, however the tailights were marred badly.

Lol, I love the Saran wrap. That is some nice work.

How would you characterize the Corvette's paint in terms of hardness and correctibility?
 
Getting wax off trim is rough! Did you use a steamer or something Chemical? I know is required a lot of elbow grease.

Car came out great. I think Chevy stopped making Vettes in Atomic Orange. To bad, is is so sharp when done right and tight.

The saran wrap is a new one. Love it! What did he have in mind when he got home? Another clear bra?

Did they drive with the "wrap" on or trailer it? I can't imagine the "wrap" stayed at freeway speeds?
