Hello all,
Just need some guidance. I have a detail coming up. I just need some information if anyone can help. The color is Tropic Green. It is a mystic paint job. I'm pretty certain it is through BASF. Has anyone done a car like this. If so is there any special considerations. He bought the car use and someone did a really bad touch up jub in the places. You can see the scatches right through the touch up. They may seem better or even worse looking after the detail. Otherwise the paint is in good shape. Also the hood and trunk lid are a composite material do I need to consider heat while polishing or different polishes? I will be using Menzerna's standard clear coat polishes with a PC or Flex random orbital. I'm not 100% sure if rims are billet. They are shot. Very chalky and dull. That leads me to believe they are just polished billet. I do not know if they have a clearcoat on them. I could not find the specs for the rims. He has another set and is leaving the bad one's on until the tires wear out. I may suggest he not bother having me fix them because of the expense. They will need to come off of the car and will probaby take some serious time to correct. Thank uou in advance for any assistance.
