You guys are so perfect when it comes to maintaining your cars but I thought I'd see if anyone had any NEW Resolutions for the New Year! :D

My resolution is to only drive my detailed cars into safe situations if possible ( no malls, public parking lots, etc ). The urge to drive sometimes over-rules common sense, that is what beater/ company cars are for.:D

Happy New Year Everyone!!! :bounce

Well, I have to try a little harder in college this year. My grades have not been the best over the last few months because......well my classes just do not interest me. :(

Also that place is a death trap for cars, I see so many beaters parked there. I am forced to drive the workhorse Explorer because there is no chance in hell I would ever park my Lincoln or Jag up there.

My resolution is to try my hardest not to buy anymore detailing products before using what I already have on the shelf. At last count, I have over 100 bottles on the shelf. I stopped counting towels and applicators.

I will try to lower my detailing "habit" down from $300 a month to something a bit more manageable....say about $275???

H

Resolutions:

- Spend more time with interior detailing (steam floor mats, clean interior of rear window).

- Start detailing the engine and wheel wells.

- Try a YoSteve or Miracle Towel (I only have Vipers).

- Never flame anyone on this website!

My most important resolution is that I need to spend LESS time thinking about detailing and more time thinking about my career. But then again, I suppose I could make a career change and find a way to break into the auto detailing industry. Then I'd be thinking about work all the time!

I resolve to detail the other cars in my driveway more often :)

for me to get more sleep and make it to the gym more often :D

In view of world events, and getting one's priorities in order, I will try to "lighten up" about my car and imperfections that it may have, and show my family and friends that people, not machines, are most important and deserving of my attention and time. This is not a commentary on anyone else here, just me.

I have been WAY to anal and consumed about detailing in the past, and this year has taught me that it really, really is small stuff , in the big scheme of things. So "lighten up" I must! In the words of the Seinfeld shows' character "Putty"..."It's gonna be rough"...

I'm still married, so I guess that's a good sign, lol. :) Happy New Year all.

Hehe, "Alright!... High Five!"

Resolution

(1) Shorten detailing time. Each weekend Min 2 1/2 HR (Wash / Z5) or 4 HRS (ZFX X 3). It's ruining my weekends. Must find a way to finish it in 1 1/2HR starting this new year.

(2) Try a PC Orbital buffer sometimes this year.

(3) Try spotfree rinse thingie

1) Accept the fact that inconsiderate people will back into cars and open their doors without care.

2) Accept the fact that I bought a nice car so that I can drive it, yes, even to the mall.

3) Accept that a car is just a car - metal, plastic, and animal skins. All of which can be repaired or replaced.

4) Accept the fact that "show car condition" and "daily driver" are incompatible terms.

5) Devote some of my energy that used to be spent worrying about previous items, and direct it elsewhere.

Happy New Year Everyone!

I hear ya on this one. Daily drivers are exposed to so much crap that it's almost impossible to keep them in showroom condition. It's truly a never ending battle. :(

1) I'm going to seriously look into starting a weekend detailing business.

2) Buy a Porter Cable 7424 polisher.

3) Buy detailing accessories for the PC 7424.

4) Use up all the Armor All products that was given to me.

5) Buy ZFX.

Each year I set the same realistic goals for myself:

1) Eat more :)

2) Drink more ;)

3) Cuss more

Hey, at least I can say I've kept my resolutions at the end of the year!:D

1) To start saving money (putting it in the bank where I cant get it :D)

2) Stop being so cheap and buy the expensive stuff, you only live once.

3) Get a real job.

4) Stop hesitating for almost everything I do. I'll wait and wait to do something and by then the opportunity is gone (big problem with chicks :D )

5) To buy more terry towels and other assorted towels and applicators.

6) To buy more of other stuff.

7) To lose weight!

These wont get done, I suck at resolutions :p

To preach the Gospel of Autopia and bring more converts to the Church of the Highly Reflective Finish!

:bounce

- Buy several Yo Steve MTs

- Enhance my tool kit to include new brushes

- Add Wenol, P21s Gel Wheel Cleaner, 303

- Develop a small customer base so that I can get some extra cash

- Go to Ketch's School so that I can get my skills perfected even further and learn how to use a rotary buffer

b) Personal

- Cut down on the profanity

- Get more organized

- Develop more patience

- Reduce weight

- Improve my skills on my current job

- Get my A+ Certification

- Finish building my computer

c) Other

- Finish my HT System. Right now, I have my VCR and my DVD player

- Get a new car

Detailing

1. Go to Ketch's school during spring break.

2. Get my hands on Z-1, Z-2, Z-5, Z-6, Z-7, Z-16, and ZFX.

3. Try Zaino.

4. Find my lost bottle of Klasse SG.

5. Get some 3M SMR.

6. Perfect my techniques by hand, PC, and rotary.

7. Start a weekend job as a detailer.

Personal

1. Graduate from HS (please don't let my failure in calculus get me kicked out of the honors society.)

2. Become a US Marine (extra tough since no Autopia for 3 months, know how many pages of posts I'll bereading when its over?)

3. Apply NROTC and college (Texas A&M)

4. Gain weight (as in muscle) Currently standing a 130, used to be 140 but lost 5 pounds from school, and another5 from the flu last week.

5. Eat more. (darn flu restricted me to a 1400 calorie diet, usually 5000, yes 5000! a day.) Boy do I miss a good snack of a quart of milk and those 500 calorie chocolate chip cookies.

6. Have a nice big medium well T-bone steak (didn't have one in soooo long.)

7. Exercise a lot more. Gotta do a 3 mile run in 18 min (currently at 25min for that.)

Well there are my ramblings, I would guess most of them will be complete.

Happy New Year,

Jason
